source audio c4

I just got a C4 yesterday, and this thing is amazing! I’ve been playing around with the presets available in the Neuro app, and there’s some really cool sounds out there. And all I have to do is plug my phone into it, burn some new presets, and I have a totally different pedal. So cool.

I haven’t tried making my own preset yet, and so far my only critique of the C4 is that making a preset looks pretty intimidating for a noob like me. So, is there a decent tutorial out there for such a thing, specifically making presets from an iPhone?

Hi all,

I've been reading through the backlog, and think I know the answer, but want to be sure. I know I can use my phone to control the c4 via the second 1/4" input, using patches I've saved on the cloud. And I know I could use a DMC to switch between the internal patches. But... If I wanted to use an iPad or iPhone to switch between the internal patches, using a camera connection cable and something like touchosc or midipad, do I need the hub? I just got the camera connection cable to better interface with my TC pedals and would rather not spend $10-15 for the apps if it's definitely not going to work. Thanks!

You shouldn’t need the hub for that - the phone/tablet should act as a usb MIDI host.

This does seem to be a cable and connection issue. In a very rare instance, the USB jack on the C4 can be bad, but that is not common. One way to test the jack is going straight into a computer. If all else fails, send a note to [email protected].

They must’ve decided to charge did it. I’ve had it for years so looks like existing users weren’t charged. Absolutely worth the money though.

@rsmith601 I know in the instructional video from many moons ago, the MPOW bluetooth device was discussed and used in order to connect to the neuro app over bluetooth, but there was an issue once an update happened, which i think primarily affected android users if i'm not mistaken. Would that MPOW device work currently with iPhones still, or is there another bluetooth device that people are using that work well for this purpose with the iphone?

Good question. I tested a few of them over 2 years ago and the MPow worked fine. Some did not. I know we have folks doing this, but don't know which brands are preferred.

I'm still working on using a 3rd party exp pedal with the C4. Already contacted SA and the answer was prompt and helpful. But while I wait for the next answer I'd like to share my problem here in case somebody already experienced it or has any wisdom about it.
My problem now is that the exp pedal doesn't "sweep" between values, it's acting as a switch between the min and max values, but nothing in between.
The pedal is a Mooer expline (that works normally with other pedals). I'm using the RTS out with a normal TRS 1/4" to 1/8" cable, inverting the min and max values in the external control box of the editor. I already calibrated the exp pedal in the hardware settings.
Any thoughts?

Is the port set to switch instead of pedal by mistake? See the global menu.
