Hi. My dmc.micro arrived today. All seems to work fine... only my c4 central led start blinkng every time I change preset with dmc (stops if I save holding C4 switch). Is it normal? I’m in “preset mode”...

Normal, that led flashes to let you know that the C4 is receiving midi messages.
Also if you change any of the control knobs on the C4, the light will flash letting you know that the settings are now different from the stored preset settings. If you want to save the new settings to that preset then hold the foot switch button down until it stops flashing. If you change presets without saving then when you come back to that preset it will have the original settings.

Isn’t that the top light? The poster mentioned the “central” light which makes me think he meant the engage/bypass light.
There are certain patches where my top light continues flashing after I load a patch and when I’m not currently sending midi signals. I did wonder if that is to indicate a patch which has external control enabled.
I took that to mean the light in the center of the pedal above the foot switch. That's the one I was referring too. But yeah it depends which one he meant.

When that main light blinks, it's just telling you that you've made a change to the current preset.
Pro tip: That light also has a handy Input Calibration where it will tell you the input level of your bass! Kind of like a gain knob on an amp, it'll blink red when you're clipping the input. Most people (including myself!) initially glance over that one in the manual, so I figured I'd just take an opportunity to put it out there!

I've never experienced that but I change presets via the Hub using CCs so this might be behaviour related to the fact that you are changing presets via MIDI PC messages over USB. @rsmith601 it might be worth asking Jesse to take a look to see if this is expected behaviour.
+1 to Quatsch. I haven't seen that either, but I'm also using the Hub. Maybe it's something on how the DMC.Micro and C4 talk to each other? Does it have any negative impact on anything?

Hey! has anyone had any luck trying to replicate the Sir Psycho Sexy Bass sound. I know what actually made that sound can be a huge rabbit hole, but has anyone got a patch or settings for the C4 that comes closeish?

It was a Mu-Tron III. I think I recently deleted screenshots off my phone which showed two separate interview articles where Flea stated that that’s what he used.

Just tried in “Off (default)” and “WYSIWYG”... the led no longer flashes
But I don't understand.
Why if I don't touch anything in "preset mode" the LED flashes?

Mine does this too in Preset Mode, I assume because in that mode you are able to adjust the knobs and then re-save the preset which then modifies it. The flashing indicates that the knob positions you have in the pedal are different than the settings saved into the preset (though until you actually move the knobs you only hear the saved preset). That’s how I imagine it anyway. I like Preset mode because I can adjust the Master Volume to better suit my rig and then re-saveYou mean this?

Yes, but without dmc the led in preset mode does not flash until I touch the settings. This make sense.
I like preset mode too, but in this way, with led always flashing, I don't know if the settings have been changed.

Sounds like unintended behaviour to me. Surely when a preset is loaded the light ought not to flash until a knob is touched. (Unless the intention is that the preset knob positions can be found by turning them and then the light stops flashing when they are.)
