Sounds like unintended behaviour to me. Surely when a preset is loaded the light ought not to flash until a knob is touched. (Unless the intention is that the preset knob positions can be found by turning them and then the light stops flashing when they are.)
This is how the blinking light works in Preset mode, and I agree that it is a little strange that it blinks before moving any knobs. I’ve just went with it though because it works for me!

we fixed this issue today, will be available on the next neuro desktop update. No more flashing bypass light when switching presets via midi and using preset mode.

Hi, it's me again... coluld someone who has been using dmc for some time write a post explaining how dmc.micro and C4 interact?
For example I’m trying to scroll in "P" mode leaving C4 off and turn it on when I want from C4 switch.
It seems that C4 is automatically engaged with any preset change.
If I’m not wrong I can do that in “A” mode. :)
This comes up fairly often, and is because this info isn’t super clearly written into the DMC Mocro manual. I have a DMC-8, but the process is mostly the same:

First, it helps to understand that the communication path between the DMC and C4 is entirely one-way (the DMC sends messages to the C4, but receives nothing back). What this means is that the DMC knows nothing about the state of the attached C4 pedal- not the bypass state, not how the knobs are changed, not what preset is engaged. All the DMC does is send MIDI messages to recall presets, MIDI messages to bypass or engage, MIDI messages to control parameters via the expression pedal, etc. This means that when you create a preset on the DMC, that preset is sending at least two MIDI messages to the C4- a message to change internal C4 preset, and a message to either engage or bypass the C4. In other words, you aren’t able to scroll through Preset mode in bypass- every preset in this mode is sending a bypass or engage message as you scroll, saved as part of the preset.

Now for the how- You need to save the bypass state as part of each preset on the DMC that you are recalling. So when making a preset on the DMC you need to first go to the C4 preset you want in “Device Mode” (I assume this is “A” mode you mention), then bypass the C4 using the DMC (I believe on the Micro this involves holding down one of the buttons (right?) for a long press). The bypass-state of each MIDI device attached to the DMC (as a bypass-state message that the DMC is sending to the C4, since the DMC can’t actually tell if you’ve engaged the C4 or not) is represented as a little dot on the DMC screen. There should be a little digital dot on the DMC screen that disappears when you bypass the C4 using the DMC’s bypass command. Now, when you create your preset on the DMC (I believe by holding both buttons down?) this dot being off means engaging that preset will send a message to your C4 to bypass when that DMC preset is recalled. Because you are saving/sending a message about bypass state into every DMC preset, this means you can have presets saved that automatically engage the C4 next to presets that bypass it all in sequence which is helpful when utilizing multiple presets in a song.

Hopefully this makes sense! Tried to make it as clear as possible without pictures/video.

:thumbsup:Wow, really helpful!
Thanks!
Tonight I will try and let you know. Yes, with "A" mode I mean device mode, sorry ;)
Holding left Botton bypass C4 in device mode.

EDIT: it works! Thanks. I have to save with little dot on display off.
Save holding left button in preset mode
Also you should be able to scroll through the C4 presets in Device mode in bypass by bypassing using the DMC (it should stay bypassed when scrolling presets).

Yes, thanks, I knew this in device mode...

To save the presets I did this:

- I went to the preset I want to save.
- I hold down the right button to switch to device mode.
- I went to the sound I want and decide whether to activate it or not by holding down left button (left red LED on or off).
- I went back to preset mode by holding down the right button.
- Now if I want the effect deactivated I don't have a small blue dot on the screen before the number.
- Now I can save by holding down the left button.

I hope it can be useful to someone.

Presets refer to device mode right?
If I overwrite some sound with neuro app, I also lose the preset I suppose...
I forgot to try... :)

Yeah I guess the "dot" on the screen is most useful for seeing the bypass-state when you are using multiple MIDI pedals at once! On the larger DMCs like mine, each attached MIDI pedal has its own dedicated LED. I looked at the new manual for the Micro, and it looks like they finally updated it to make all of this stuff much more clear.
If you delete presets on the C4 that are attached to Program-change MIDI messages on the DMC, I believe your pedal will go to the last valid preset before the one you chose (though I could be wrong about that). If you overwrite a C4 preset with a new sound, the DMC will just go to that new sound (as the DMC doesn't store any of the C4's info and can't tell the difference)

Can someone tell me the type of USB able I need to buy for this pedal. Every cable I have is a micro or USB C. I haven't seen this connector type used in years. Would have been nice if they gave you a cable to use
USB A to mini B.

I'm just starting to read the manual and I have some questions about The voice block.
On the polyphonic pitch it says you can play chords in the manual. Does this play an accompanying chord on the wet mix at a selected interval so you can hear the dry and wet chords at the same time. Also does the intelligent harmonization work with this.
I also see the user manual has octave pull down semitone pull down interval pull down among others in the voice block. As I am only using the app at this time because I am waiting for my USB cable to be delivered I do not see them in the voice block on the app but I do see them further down if I scroll so if on the app I want to use 3 voices at once but only wants to use the harmonizer on voice 3 is this not possible to do on the app?.I'm just starting to big into the neuro section of the user manual so I will probably have more questions. Just didn't want to write a novel in one post. It seems the app is pretty limited.
Ome more question. I added some presets to the library and some were jist tests to experiment with. How do you delete them on the android app
Edit:
If I have the app open and I'm creating a patch, am I able to hear things in real time or do I need to create it, save it and then load it to hear it.

I've expanded on my drum machine ideas. These patches are all available via Neuro.

Here's another very random thing. It's a bit unmusical though.

This is a single patch in a single track. I set the pitch detection 2 input 2 so that the bass would no longer trigger it which means it is possible to play over the top of it.
