Is there a way for the C4 to be set to global tempo rather than preset tempo?

For example, I have a tremolo patch that I like to use at times, and if I tap the tempo before engaging the patch, the C4 ignores that and reverts to the tempo that was saved in the patch and I get a few beats of an out of time tremolo while I tap it in. It's like the C4 doesn't listen to the tempo until the patch is engaged.

I'm using an Morningstar MC6 into the Disaster Area Ghost. I'm using midi CC tap to control the tempo as I found that the C4 responded better to that than midi clock or midi tap.

It seems like you’d have to use MIDI clock sync for this, which you should be able to tap in ahead of time

Hi everyone, I just got a DMC micro and I've got it set up to change patches successfully. I'm trying to get expression (via a Roland EV-5) to work through the multijack but not having much luck.

I've set the jack to util and CC100 on the DMC, and I've enabled expression control on a patch on the C4, but nothing happens. Am I missing something?

Both devices are on the latest firmware.

Presuming you’ve got external control set to “Hub/external MIDI” within the patch. I seem to recall there might be a DMC-specific setting you need to change as others had a similar issue.

You need the jack set to expression not utility, that’s for an external footswitch to send on/off midi commands. Expression should be assigned to cc100 using the C4 device programming from disaster area. Then just program what your expression pedal is controlling using the neuro app/editor and save to the pedal preset in use. Enable hub/midi expression as @Quatschmacher pointed out.

So I know you can control 3 parameters with an expression pedal. Say I wanted to control 3 parameters but also have the c4 hooked to midi a midi controller. Could I change more parameters in this way in addition to the 3 already being controlled?

Ie. 2 filter and a drive sweep to the expression pedal and a button via midi to turn on and off a voice or change that voice from and octave up to down?

Talking about expression pedals and setup, I need some help from the experts here!
I bought an M-Audio EXP expression pedal to use it with the C4. This pedal has the polarity switch so I guess the tip/ring thing can be changed with this switch since the C4 expects signal on the ring instead the tip (am I right here?) I cant make the exp pedal to work. I have setup in neuro editor pref control input to Neuro Hub/Expression and when going to calibrate I get lost there. Depending on the M-audio switch position I can see values changing in the calibrate window, I see values if I move the pedal, but then when I select a patch from the library that uses the expression pedal or try to control any other preset setting nothing happens.
Don´t know what to do...any help will be really appreciated!

Are you directly connected to the pedal or running through the hub? If the hub you don’t need to flip the polarity if using the 1/4” jack. If direct to pedal, you need to select the x axis not hub.

On Mac the OS is the newest before Catalina. And I just started having crashing issues. Everything freezes up then I have to restart my computer to even have the editor open again. Its happen quite often and I am pulling my hair out

i double-checked first with monitoring the configured midi messages on the mac. then i connected the helix directly to the C4 with the adapter - it's not working so far. i double-checked the midi channel, the CC-number and played with the values for the preset number.

the manual says the C4 can receive midi messages over usb.

any ideas?

Did you manage to make it Work? I also have the hxfx + c4 and was wondering if I can just connect straight hxfx USB port >>> USB adapter >>> C4 usb and be able to scroll patches without the neuro hub? Thanks!

This requires that the midi controller have the ability to host midi usb, which only the disaster area controllers are able to do this that I know of.
