Source Audio EQ2

It seems like the behavior I described might be a bug.
I'm not able to replicate on the latest EQ2 firmware, are you able to check to make sure you're using 1.18 or higher on the EQ2? You can see the firmware version number in the left margin of the Neuro Desktop when connected.

Been making some tweaks on my EQ2 after not opening up the hood in awhile.

Did I imagine the feature where you can toggle each frequency point completely on and off and hide the dots on the curve that you aren't using? I'm thinking maybe I'm getting it confused with an EQ plugin in my my DAW.

But if this doesn't have that feature, that would be a nice feature to add!

Been digging the noble EQ preset, cheers for that. Modded it a bit to have a more aggressive but lower HPF, a LPF, and some strategic cuts + a boost in high mids for my metal project on top of my jad freer capo preamp in the post loop.

Would anyone else be open to sharing some choice presets they like on Neuro? There aren't too many bass centric ones.

It's such a powerful pedal that I find myself getting lost tweaking if it's just up to me, so seeing the logic behind someone else's settings is helpful to then change a bit from there.

My use case would be to leave my capo preamp in the sweet spot I have dialed in, and use the SA tap tempo switch (not pictured, just realized it could be used for this and added it since I had it stashed for the c4) to change presets, so I have 4 ready for when I need my main sound for my main metal band locked in on preset #1, then the others would be for jamming at home or making demos, or just to not have to change all my pedal settings for different jams or projects.

I'm just scratching the surface with the EQ2, but with some know how I'm thinking it'd be powerful enough to go from eq for metal on my dingwall, funk and primus type sounds on a stingray, a more general tone, and a more vintage PJ sound (ideally something like Colin greenwood's typical sound)

I, like you, have just tweaked the noble preset a bit really. I made a load of them with different hpf values so I could flip between them easy at a gig if needed.

One thing I did tweak though is I had an exp pedal that I used to bump mids and some lows. I used this in conjunction with my Ultrawave wave so when I went from clean to dirty sounds with that, it also bumped mids and a bit of bass in the eq2.

Tbh it worked nice but you could do the same with just the Ultrawave. Your idea of using the tap switch is a good one too. Really increases it's functionality.

Got to give praise for the limiter on the EQ2. Lately been messing around taking pedals off my board and have been really contemplating getting rid of the compressor. Well comparing it with the Limiter on the EQ2... There's going to be another pedal going on sale shortly. The Limiter works perfectly fine for my needs and absolutely no tone colouring either. It is noticeable but not sharply obvious when kicking in.

the EQ2 has become my preamp. I am blown away by what this little pedal can do. I can recreate any amps eq curve or make my own. 8 presets whats not to like..a learning curve might be the only issue lol
Plug in an expression pedal into the EQ2 and its easy to configure it as swell / volume pedal. Or down load a few community patches and you can have a custom Wah or foot controlled low pass filter.

Yesterday I was trying to rescue a terrible sounding piezo pickup sound. EQ2 to the rEsQ!

QUICK TIP: If the curve is acting weird and seemingly doing the opposite of what you expect (e.g., turning one band down causes a level increase across other bands)-- switch from parallel to serial and it will behave more as you would expect.

i've seen unbuffered piezo pickups do that with entire mixing desks. It's something to do with the pickup's impedance. It's why they work best with a buffer circuit.

Yesterday, I built a little piezo-disc pickup for a beater classical guitar. Sounded irreparably bad. Sat down with the EQ2 and started carving away at the resonant peaks. Now it sounds pretty nice. The key was switching from parallel to series.

A self-own-facepalm disguised as a Feature request:

I assumed that Stereo-in, Mono-out, would feed mono to both outs 1 & 2, (my mistake, the manual is clear on this). So my 2nd instrument which was in input 2 was feeding my monitor via 1, and the house via 2; well, it sent nothing to the house. Totally my bad. But it would be cool if the EQ2 had a couple more routing modes:
Stereo-in, Mono-out 1
Stereo-in, Mono-out 2
Stereo-in, Mono-out 1+2

+1 for that. I use my SA pedals in stereo, but that limits options to blend 2 channel presets (like different distortion models in the Aftershock). Being able to mix those together with the EQ2 would be great, but if any other pedal could also output the mono signal on both outputs would be a great help.

Just got myself a source audio eq2. Need some advice. I am trying to create a preset where input 2 is used as an aux in to play backing tracks from my phone, and both input routes to output 1. Seems like 9 out of 10 times input 2 does not work even when routing is set to stereo in, mono out. Anyone can advise?
