Source Audio OFD

I get my best tones with dialling some lows out, some mids in and the blend put to the right side of the spectrum. Remember, the EQ only affects the distortion signal, with cutting bass you'll leave this space to the clean signal.
However, the line between having a clean tone with some unmotivated topping and a fuzz without punch is pretty thin. The blend knob imo acts kind of weird, not as linear as I wished. This makes the line even thinner.

I bet it is. And thanks! Look forward to seeing what youre workin with.

This is my "go-to" fuzz. Big Muffish, but gnarlier with added mids to sit better in a band without getting lost in the mix. I use this a lot with my instro/surf band Crazy Aces (this here: http://www.reverbnation.com/crazyacesmusic/song/14384940-theme-from-crazy-aces - all of the fuzz bass you here is this pedal and setting):

This is a more fun Muse/modern gated fuzz with that velcro type tone. Works great in bass breakdowns and synthy type parts:

Cool ... I'll bookmark this for the day I can't resist and orders the OFD :)

Just got an OFD, really eager to get this into my signal chain. Was curious about hearing what your favorite "always on" setting might be. I plan on experimenting with some of the low gain settings that John_k posted, as well as one posted by Source Audio on this thread (must have read every page on this thread).

I am hoping to get a nice "tone enhancer" setting. Right now my live sound consists of an old DOD Bi-fET running into a Tonehammer. For a little hair I would kick in a Solidgold Effects Beta...

Beta is gone so I would like to program a setting close to the Beta on one switch, and a tone sweetener on the other (try to kinda get the combo of the Bi-fet and tone hammer). My tone goals tend to be on the Ampeg b15 side, usually with my Pbass tone dimmed, and the Bi-fet boosted on the bass side. Aguilar is flat w/bass boosted a bit.

Thanks, I'll post any positive results later in the week.

Here are my other most used OFD presets:

Kings'X'ish over-the-top distortion. Works best with a pick & detuned strings:

I use this lighter Tube Screamer with expression pedal MIX control when I want just a tiny amount of grit or want to be able to increase the crunch as the song picks up:

Crunch Tube with expression pedal DRIVE. Same idea ss above, but a bit more agressive:

No crunch here! Just how I use my OFD as a Volume Pedal! It works great:

I use this for an expression controlled bass boost at live shows if I want to shake the rafters at the end of a song:
