Source Audio OFD

So if I have a Digitech CM-2 and was considering a Pork Loin for darker fatter sounds would I be better off selling the CM-2 and spending the money on an OFD? Basically looking for lower gain sounds. 1 midrangey cutting sound and one fat tubey sound.

Well the OFD is probably going to be the ultimate "two tones in one" pedal.

Just got an OFD & have been working with it for a few hours today.

WOW!

Once again, Source Audio has demonstrated that digital doesn't have to sound 'digital'! What a great, extremely flexible dirt box. It only took me minutes to dial in my favorite Fulltone Bass-Drive through X-Blender sound.

I haven't used it in a band context yet, but I will this week. Initial indications are good though!

I set up a TS9000 setting that emulates my Bass-Drive blended sound on preset 1. Preset 2 has the Big Pi model with some extra midrange. Morphing between the 2 works surprisingly well! No huge volume difference or bass punch change, but the crunch quality increases and the nastiness as I morph over to preset 2. It really works!

I'm excited about the possibilities & amazed at the quality of tone. It's not sterile, hollow or 'glitchy' at all! I reserve final judgement for in-context band work, but right now I'm excited!

I have a question after listening to one of the YouTubes on here. It sounds to me like the TS model sounds pretty awesome and very accurate to the original. Can it duplicate an OCD? I'm thinking I can replace my OCD and ODB3 for this one pedal. I've been thinking about getting the OFD but now, once again actually, I'm seriously considering getting it. I'm also thinking I'll be able to dial in more low end which is a plus.

IMO, the OFD can do the OCD thing.
I was just experimenting with them side by side, and after about 5 minutes, I got it pretty darn close.

Are those the settings you thought were closest in the pic? I never quite found a setting I thought was like the OCD but I have been so enamored with the tube drive that I didn't pursue it to heavily.

i think that they are, but you can't see the eq settings which makes a big difference. i'll post the settings tomorrow as well as a comparison soundclip.
