There are quite a few MIDI-literate pedals out there now, I think it's a good time to think about MIDI control. For me though I have really specific needs/wants so I'm building my own MIDI controller using an Arduino so I can program each footswitch per patch to do different things with CCs on several channels etc. It's basically like a home-made MP-201 but without the CV outs and it takes only about 50mA from a 9v supply so I can daisy-chain it.

Only problem so far is finding an enclosure to fit. :(

I have to say, I wasn't really on board with the One Series idea at first but this kind of stuff, along with the EQ things you mentioned earlier, is making me rethink things (and possibly regret that I jumped on the OFD when I did).

The OFD is a killer pedal, and you have it in your possession today. The One Series have yet to ship and the software is still in development. Support for the One Series in the Hub Manager has not been done. There is a lot to be said for something that works and you can use today. Migrating to a One Series is certainly something you can do when it supports all that you want it to support.

I would note that the component nature of our system makes it easier to deal with swap things in and out over time. A large fixed system locks customers in in ways that are much more restrictive.......especially financially.

That's .... that's .... that's like a free Boss LS-2 with every One series pedal ... except ... it's like two channels in the One Series pedal broken out into two pedal plus an LS-2 ... except it's physically contained within one pedal ... absolutely awesome :)

I don't see myself needing too many different combinations of sounds, like maybe 4 different dirt sound at most...pretty much if the OFD or Classic Distortion can mimic what I already have ,I'm good...

Cheapest, small and one of the easiest to use: Tech21 MIDI mouse
Or if you can get someone tech-y to work on it, you -can- build one from an Arduino set. If you want to do that I can send you the code and pics and stuff.

Question about true stereo - A and B -can- be different effects for all pedals at the moment, right?

As for sidechain envelope, how does that work? There're no envelope filters at the moment, are there?

Oh... so many possibilities... The dry through would kick the ABY out of my board, parallel and cascade are AWESOME for distortion and the loop before and after on the Nemesis would come VERY handy.
Just one question the A and B shown mean different effects right? so does that mean the stereo mode could be use as two different pedals for instance? My specific case in question is one song where I would like to have a tapped delay right after the compressor to simulate playing double notes and a very short delay at the end to give some space to the DI sound.

hey thanks, I'll bookmark this info...im not sure if I could afford to have a midi system built, but the "midi mouse" looks like a winner to me....

I wrote down every pedal I own today and did the math... Even with Prymaxe deals/free shipping it would cost me about a grand for all the sb2 series with the hub, with a Cali76 about $1300...

if I sold each and every pedal I own id be left with about $350... So that's not bad, there are a few I wanna keep just in case...
Im gonna rewrite my list to exclude my absolute favorites and probably sell/buy them in a logical order, the first will probably be the OFD, the others I know will be awesome...

A free ls2 with a built in microthumpinator. So a single 1 series pedal could knock yet another item off of my gas list.

So I didn't totally understand all of those routing options, can it legitimately be used like an LS-2 if the effect itself isn't used?

Question for all you Sourcerers out there: What are your thoughts on the SA Bass Envelope Filter? Not the Pro or Manta, just standard. I'm looking at possibly getting one, but have a few other options I'm researching as well. How does this one handle OD/fuzz before it? What about flanger? I'm looking to fill a spot that will have OD/fuzz and flange running into the filter, and the ones I've tried so far make a terrible "squeal" noise from my cabs. Will the SA126 let me get some funky goodness without killing my ears?
