Looks like I'm going to pull the Gecko trigger and swing by Anthill Music for Hub. I have a down week coming up where I can decimate the board and just redo everything. I have 2 bags of George L's about to burst into spontaneous combustion sitting in the corner of my desk and I just can't stands it no mo.

Any one have and alternate choices for the Gecko? I got no bites on any comments on the MIDI Moose. Chime in anyone PLEASE!

The Midi Mouse (smaller than the moose) is a good choice.

I see the basic differences between the Mouse and the Gecko and I really like the feature that you can sequence 8 presets in any order out of your 128 Saved Scenes instead of just scrolling through your scenes on the Mouse. Was wondering what the MOOSE Brought to the table, I've not been able to decipher that yet. I have a Looper 8 to mix and match all my pedals but I'm new to the MIDI game and have no experience. The difference price wise between the Gecko and the Mouse is $40+ and I see that worth it to me. Just wondering if the Moose could be an all in one choice.

If it were me I'd want dedicated switches for my presets. Clean tone, dirty tone, fuzz, different fuzz, dub, etc. plus with my limited vision and desire to have convenience, it'd be easier to get a moose or similar to have presets just by hitting a button.

Man, I ordered my SA PEQ from Chicago music exchange one day delivery USPS on wed night. Was supposed to be here today at the latest. It won't be here till mon now. Sucks. I would've been better off picking it up from the store. Grrrrrrr. I hate wait.

I got the Control One Gecko because of the 8 assignable scene presets. I already have an 8 loop by-pass switcher but truth be told, I never could find any literature on the MIDI Moose that really gave a good explanation of the functions of the other preset buttons. I might have gone with that but I'm also looking the Control One Iguana Tail which is similar to what I have but has more options and is more compact.

I have a Dimension reverb on the way, and I want a hub/gecko soon. I'm running out of room on my board...

Question - I know the Dimension has an echo setting. Can the echo setting get the Pink Floyd "One of These Days" sound? How about the Edge/Gilmour dotted eighth thing? Maybe I can get rid of my Memory Lane Jr. It's a great delay, but it's kinda big.

The Dimension echo is really rudimentary. You don't have as much control trying to get accurate dotted rhythms. You can of course time yourself to get there, but without tap tempo it's a challenge!
