Trying to update my Ventris, but no luck. The Neuro desktop can edit settings and presets, but when I click the updater arrow I get the following:

Be sure to unplug all SA devices from USB, except the Ventris. Make sure you have no software running that could have identified Ventris as a USB device. Plug Ventris in directly rather than via a USB hub.
While it is awesome the our One Series pedals can show up as midi devices and work with DAWs, we just discovered that this is a key reason folks were having a host of troubles when updating (including getting bricked pedals). What can happen is right in the middle of the critical part of the update, the midi software tries to talk to the pedal and corrupts the data. If you think about it, it makes sense and gives some insight into how hard this problem was to discover. We got punished for adding a cool feature! This warning is designed to prevent this from happening. Hope this helps.

Downloaded the updated Desktop Editor. Now I can do true stereo with the Ventris! This is awesome.

I've just been reading about the Digitech Luxe which seems to be aimed at producing the sound of two unison instruments, without chorusing effect. Seems to me like the starting point for another nemesis 'engine' ? Bit of detune, bit of delay, should do it, right ? Maybe even go mad and add two voices (+ and - detune) with differing delays ?

Only problem I can see is I don't know how they cancelled the chorus ? Phase locked loop to stop the fundamentals from cancelling out ? Do Digitech have a proprietary algorithm that can't be replicated ?

It’s just a detune effect... lots of people have done this... pitchfork, whammy, boss pitch shifters... it’s just pitch shifting in small amounts less than a semitone/or greater and mixing the dry signal without a chorus LFO.

Okay, but how about combining it with a little delay in an optional nemesis 'engine' and even and another voice with a different delay and the opposite detune ?
