Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

That is only if you saved your own settings . This is factory fresh I have not even hooked it up to the app yet. Maybe I was not clear bank one works fine bank 2 the volume is lower and keeps getting lower like someone is turning the volume down. If you turn the knobs sometimes it comes back but most of the time not and when you switch back to bank one it some times stays at the lower volume for a bit then comes back.

I suggest working with the editor to see if you can fix the issue that way. I just hooked up mine and had to tweak some of the original presets to work with my own signal path.

Only got to plug in and tweak for a bit tonight.
Already know that the MXR BOD is getting kicked off the board. I was not expecting the C4 to sound so good as a solo sub octave but holy wow.
Tomorrow I'll finally see if I can create some presets to fully replace the GR and Mastotron.
C4 into delay and reverb sounds incredible.
And I had to swap knobs between the C4 and Aftershock. ;)

How does the octave up sound?
Any chance of some clips of the octave and envelope filter. I use a micro pog and mxr bef and was wondering if the c4 could replace those two?

how are you guys powering your c4's i just got mine yesterday but i can only get it to work with the included power supply. im using a gigrig set up w/ an isolator and it works perfectly with the aftershock but after just a few minuets with the c4 it goes to hell, glitches out, and turns off/stops working. any ideas ?

Thank you for the suggestions I will try that as soon as I get a chance probably after the weekend.
Goodluck I really hope it's okay!

I'll play around with the stock preset and see what it can do. As soon as I understand the pedal better I plan to start uploading clips (with some garbo bass playing be prepared)

I'm using an MXR ISO Brick. Powers everything on the board. Has 2 9v 300ma outputs that I use for my SA boxes. I've used it with the Aftershock for months with 0 issues. With my old BBE Supacharger sometimes it would power on and choke for power.

I could never get a preset on the aftershock to sound exactly like a mastotron... if someone replicated that with the c4 then that is a game changer to me!!!
Neither could I. I wanted the Aftershock to boot the Mastotron too so I'm pretty motivated to see if the C4 can replace it, or at worst C4 + Aftershock. At the moment I'm utilizing the frequency split outputs on my DB-CL to give the Mastotron a low passed parallel clean blend, and the Aftershock itself is EQing the Mastotron for a low passed effect to mellow out a little of the harshness. If I can get that tone from the SA boxes that thing is going bye bye. If not I'm not too sad about keeping it around. It's a great fuzz imo

Has anyone had any luck programming up an EHX Bassballs style sound? Or even if someone has clear idea of what exactly the Bassballs does that'd be helpful (I know it's two relatively narrow Band Pass Filters in parallel) - I've tried programming it, and just keep end up getting sidetracked. All amazing sounds, but just not quite on the mark.

question, can you switch thru presets without bending down to use the little toggle switch?
Nah. At best you can switch between Banks while the pedal is engaged by holding the footswitch. This allows you to switch modes so you can go from your mode A circle preset to mode B circle preset. You need an external switch to go from mode A circle to mode A square.

I'm also awaiting this preset/sound. With the C4 I'm planning on taking both my Bassballs and Octamizer off my board.

I'm feeling confident that achieving the Bassballs sound is entirely possible!

With two filters in the C4 I'd think it'd be possible to get something close. Plus it should allow vowel sounding filters. I'd think quasi-notch filters. All sorts of stuff we've never been able to do in a programmable filter pedal.

That's not correct. Buy a DMC Micro and you can switch through presets by hitting the up and down foot switches.

The Isolator doesn’t put out enough juice for the C4. None of the Source Audio pedals I own have ever needed to be isolated (I also use GigRig power), get a Distributor and power the C4 directly off that.
