I have a Midi Mouse and have heard this sound as well. I'm powering the Mouse with a 400ma isolated tap but the HUB is on the same power tap.
I don't always hear it though. It seems to depend on the environment. At home I can hear it. Most gigs and studios I've worked at: silent. I think it's dirty ac at my house perhaps.
My hub and HH are powered off of My voodoo iso power5. I power all four SA pedals with a 1-spot power supply. Noiseless. Pickups may interfere also. Maybe having the hub and pedals on separate power will make a difference.
My PP2 ain't cutting it. I'm looking at a Mondo unless I can find a wall wart compatible strip. Just don't want to deal with all that extra stuff. Would have to get a separate bag to throw it in. Won't fit in the PT-3 box.

My Dual Expression Pedal got here yesterday and I tested it for about 45 minutes last night. I'm conflicted. Allow me to explain:
PROS:
---I love the build construction
---I love the form factor
---I love the treadle action
---Basically, to sum up the above, this is how I think an expression pedal should "feel"
---I like that this is the best option for my Manta
---I like that, in principle, I can use this for multiple expression pedals and save board space
CONS:
---When using Output 1 with my BSY600, it didn't seem to have quite the same range as my Yamaha FC-7. I thought these were both 50 kOhm pots. More oddly, the lack of range is in the heel position, not the toe position. It's not that significant in terms of what I was to do with the BSY600, but it was noticeable in extensive A/B-ing of the two.
---When using Output 2 with my Eventide Modfactor, there were some problems. This was a little more expected because the Eventide expects 25 kOhm TS and the DEP puts out 50 kOhm TRS. I thought with the knob I could dial it back, but it doesn't work how I would expect. I can get the dial on the DEP pretty close so that the action is from 0 to 100 (the Eventide shows this digitally), though it's not perfect. In addition to not being perfect (but probably close enough for most of what I'll do), the bigger issue is that my Eventide interprets it backwards. 0 is toe down, 100 is heel down. For parameter adjustments, this is okay I think; I'm pretty sure I can just program the Eventide "backwards"---i.e., it doesn't matter what values I program in for toe and heel position. But it's a little weird for real-time modulation control. (NOTE: Through all of this, I was using a TS cable. A TRS cable was unresponsive.)
---A bummer that I still need the Hub to switch back and forth between the HH3 and DEP on my Manta, although obviously this isn't a surprise.
QUESTIONS:
---What is the allen wrench in the box for? The manual says nothing about it and I don't see any places that use it.
---The manual says Output 1 and the Sensor output cannot be used simultaneously, but I tried it and it seems to work. I'm not sure what is going on here?

---Prymaxe has a really good return policy. I'm really torn on whether or not to roll with the DEP, even if it's sub-optimal, or return it and stick with my current options. The Pros and Cons are just so different.

I hope the dip switch options will include standard Boss/Behringer (50 kOhm TRS), Line6 (10 kOhm TS), Eventide (25 kOhm TS), Strymon (???---not that I own one, yet), etc. I'm also very curious if it will be longer than the standard DEP (if the treadle is the same on the DEP as in that prototype image, I assume the overall unit will be about 1" longer). What I really want to see out of the product are flexibility compatibility, and the ability to easily select all available output combinations (to be able to do simultaneous control of multiple outputs but also "disconnect" outputs so the pedal operates as though nothing is connected, even if it is still wired up). I am curious how this type of switching will be done---through MIDI? But basically, all of the other features (like taper) would just be icing on the cake.

I have a Dual and an H9 and mine doesn't do that. I'm almost positive there is someone on Eventide pedals to set how they work with the expression pedal. Meaning heel or toe going towards or away 100. I would never get rid of it because of the BSY600 though.

By "someone on Eventide" I assume you mean "somewhere" in the settings that you can change it?
And are you also using a BSY600 with it, or are you just providing your opinion on my situation?
Back to the Eventide, I had asked around about using the DEP with Eventide pedals and no one felt inclined to comment on it. If anyone has any additional experience, I'd love to hear it.

Yeah I get that logic. But the BSY600 and the Eventide pedals were the two things I was really hoping to use it with. It seems my choice at this point is two bulky expression pedals that work perfectly for their own individual tasks but no expression for the Manta, vs. using the Dual at only 75-80% functionality for those two pedals but getting a streamlined solution and Manta capabilities.
I know that the h9 can calibrate to the expression pedal. It's some back page parameter. I have to reset it when I switch from the ernieball passive volume to my SADEP. Not too sure about the factor series, I suggest some menu diving. I prefer the feel of the Ernie ball for the whammy style stuff, but prefer the SA for wah and other types so it's a compromise based on what effects I use the h9 for.

I've looked at the Factor series manuals in some detail for information on the expression pedals but not specifically for info on calibration. So I am skeptical it's in there but I will check anyway.

That helped in that I was switching cables on the expression pedal while the power was on. Powering up while plugged in is definitely better.
Some more experimentation reveals the following:
(1) With a TRS cable and trim knob full counter clockwise (no trim), the pedal functions as it should except the taper is so fast that there is unused action toward the toe position. This was what happened to me with my Moog EP-2 that I eventually got rid of.
(2) With a TRS cable and moving the trim knob, it only adjusts the value in the heel position---so I get even less useable range
(3) With a TS cable and the trim knob full counter clockwise, the pedal goes from 0 to 100 (I'm using the value the Eventide shows on its display) and back again
(4) With a TS cable and moving the trim knob, I can get to an approximately 0 to 100 range, but it's reversed heel/toe. I haven't done more experimenting with the Eventide programming on this.
So it seems that my best options are (1) and (4), even though both are suboptimal.
Additional problem:
When in full heel position in situation (1) or full toe position in situation (4), the pedal does not want to get all the way to 0 unless I apply a little bit of extra pressure. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to adjust it? This might also explain what was going on with the BSY600.

I don't remember if I already posted this, but I just wanted to say that the Source Audio guys (Brett and Jesse) have been awesome in answering my questions about using the HH3 with a Line6 M5. Brett was even working up a video that is going to post this week! But his descriptions in our e-mail conversation already helped tremendously. I now know what I'm doing with the M5 as far as programming it goes, now the trick is finding good sounds that make sense with HH3 motions.

I'm in good hands, then! And fair enough on the latter point.
I've already said it, but I think it's worth reiterating here. I wouldn't expect the Dual Expression Pedal to be compatible with everything given its very nature (a single potentiometer with analog control), I knew I was taking a chance when I bought it. However, I couldn't be any more excited about the Digital Expression Pedal and I really hope that it is a simple matter (and a priority!) to ensure compatibility with a wide range of products like Line6, Eventide, Strymon, etc.
Could someone tell me how to change the Dimension Reverb from true bypass to buffered bypass? I want to have the reverb trail out when I stop it and I don't have an expression pedal as discussed in the manual. Thanks in advance.
