DMC Micro is a really good approach to get the most from the C4 without going full on-MIDI. If you already have a MIDI controller, then the Hub is fine.

I purchased one when using the Enzo but returned it at the same time... I'm also thinking about diving in further and replacing my current fuzz with an Aftershock, is the Mini still a good idea with two SA pedals or would a more advanced controller be a good idea?

I'm def no filter expert. But I do know when one sounds awesome and it just works. The Meatball preset @nnavarro made on the C4 is stellar IMO. It sounds the way a bass filter should sound. And it's simple and very effective. I love it. But again, not a filter expert. I just know when it sounds good. And there are two or three community presets that sounded straight awesome to me out of the box.

Is that preset in the demo video he put on YouTube? Checking it now...

I'm not sure you would get much in the way of MIDI control with the Aftershock and a Disaster Area controller, since the Aftershock can only store 6 (or 3?) presets on the pedal. A Hub is required to get the full 128 presets from most, if not all, of the other SA One Series pedals (as is my understanding). C4 is basically the current exception to that rule.

I think so. It's possible the Soleman duplicates some of the Hub's functionality, but I don't personally know off hand.

Correct.
The Soleman doesn't have Hub stuff integrated.

I believe the cable is included. You should check with them. They are fully fluent with the C4

Word. In researching this it already seemed like a Hub was essential... so then I need to decide if I want the Mini as a smaller, cheaper alternative to going with something like the Soleman. I'll research some more.

Can I use a Moog EP-3 with the Hub? I did find a local store that stocks the C4 and Aftershock, might have to swing up there this week and splurge.

We just posted the latest firmware and Neuro Desktop version on the website. The latest FW is 1.11.

Here’s a summary of the fixes:

-neuro cable input 2 muting problem
-bugs related to switching in and out of preset banks using Alt Mode.
-Also I added in a calibration feature for the use with expression pedals. It’s in the hardware options for the C4.

We still need to create a document with the firmware revision info. I haven’t done that yet.​

There is one more thing. No limits on MIDI channels.

Personally I love the Soleman. Originally got it to control my FI but got well into SA stuff and got a hub. I use panel mode which is extremely versatile allowing PC CC and combinations of what ever. These can be latch, momentary, radio or one shot so loads of options for controlling midi effects. My only request for it would be program it on the pedal as well as the editor.

Ok, so update firmware and the C4 will now work on midi ch. 2 to change presets via CC? Good thing I haven't had time to reconfigure all my midi mapping to put the hub and C4 on ch. 1.

So If I am using The Disaster Area DMC GEN3 should I have the MIDI set to CH1 or 2 on the C4 and be controlling it with Ch A if one or B if 2 or is A0000 1? This MIDI is really playing with my mind. Kind of a MIDI Idiot. I know what it is supposed to do but not how it does it or how to make it do it. If I have the gHOST cable do I still need to go through the HUB

Best to ask DAD. They are more experts on this than we are.

I just figured if someone here might have the same setup and be able to help out. I have reached out to DAD and am patiently waiting their reply. And thank you for yours also. You SA guys are always so helpful that is why I still have SA pedals on my board. Also Patiently awaiting the arrival of the next new pedal.

Well for me I'm configuring presets on both my Aftershock and C4 that need to be toggled simultaneously. I'm also planning to replace my Boss RV-500 and DOD Rubberneck with the SA Ventris and Nemesis respectively.

This is all reason enough for me to look no further than SAs own offerings for control.

This is what I plan to do when my HUB gets here, use my HX as my controller.

I had a hardware issue with my HX Effects; Couldn't do a firmware up grade past 2.7.0 on it. New one should be here any day.

I was planning on selling it and going back to a pedal setup. Now I might rethink that and see how it plays with my C4.
