I agree. The Aftershock is an incredible Utility pedal, in addition to being a versatile and capable drive pedal, and not enough people mention it.
There are so many hidden gems in SA gear.

@rsmith601 I know this is completely uncalled for since the C4 is still in its infancy but if you guys make a bigger one with built in reverb and delay engines you could probably charge hundreds of dollars more for each one.

I agree. The Aftershock is an incredible Utility pedal, in addition to being a versatile and capable drive pedal, and not enough people mention it.
There are so many hidden gems in SA gear.

The Aftershock may very well take the place of my X7. I'm not totally sure on that yet. But we'll see. I believe the Aftershock is that good and I am very excited for it to get here. I just got my shipping notice should be here Wed.

I've never doubted the AS. And I think there are a lot of fans of it out there. But some still just can't wrap their head around a digital dirt box that's actually good if not great and or awesome. Plus, speaking from my exp, I've always preferred analogue single stomps. I warmed up to digital dirt with the HX. And I think the AS is going to be a step above that even. And I already feel the HX dirt is stellar in most cases.

I was resistant at first but had a friend bring over his to try to model a couple of my rarities which we were able to do using the Android Neuro App. I went shopping that day and found a demo nos with a warranty for a great price.

I agree, the Aftershock is amazing and can make so many different sounds so well. You'd never know it's all digital.

Only one I can't find (and haven't been able to quite reproduce) is my fuzzrocious demon king. I think it's an OCD/OhSeeDee based clone but they way it saturates when I kick the bass whammy in +1oct harmony and slide it up to +2 is downright amazing. Haven't quite gotten there with it. It's like a wall of sound sirens all singing my bass' name...

The Aftershock kicked the Demon King off the board that travels but I still keep the demon plugged up at the band room.

That's so funny "Oh See Dee" is actually one of my favorite engines on the Aftershock.

I think it stems from how bad digital dirt used to be. We're at a point now where a lot of dirt engines sound and respond like analog pedals. Whether or not they can straight up replace them is up to the ears but that's another story.

Replaced them for me. But instead of the aftershock I got the kingmaker, I dig the purple way more. Same thing though

I had an OSD once. I didn't think it felt or reacted like an OCD at all. It was a completely different pedal IMO. Not that it wasn't inspired by and or build from the base circuit of the OCD. But Ryan really took it somewhere else almost completely. Which is really cool in and of itself. The Fulltone OCD used to be a huge fav of mine. My tastes have changed since then. But I saw that Oh See Dee in the community presets of the Aftershock and got kind of excited. I've already added a ton of presets to my library. God these pedals are fun!

Or they could squeeze the Nemesis and Ventris into a normal One Series enclosure with the ability to run delay and reverb (in parallel) at the same time (in lieu of having dual reverb engines). I would embrace that as well.

If it ever happens that SA team would think of a C4 in a Nemesis/Ventris type enclosure, I would use the extra space to increase the memory (if possible).

In the meantime I hope that, by the end of August, the C4 will be available also in Italy.

DO you know anything about DMC's new Midi Baby?

Got a response from DA about the Midi Baby. They said it will step through a few presets (I'm assuming the 6 onboard), but the best bet is the Micro, which can step through all 127 presets. Guess I'll be getting a Micro!

Okay gang, after doing some major board work last month I've finally concluded that my 3Leaf Wonderlove Deluxe just isn't making me happy. I'm considering the C4 as an envelope replacement, as well as a general tool - anybody have clips of how just the envelopes sound?

I was a little put off from MIDI pedals by my brief stint with a Meris Enzo - that thing sounded cool but was simply impractical for live use. What would I need to fully utilize the C4? Neuro Hub? Then a MIDI controller?

We just posted the latest firmware and Neuro Desktop version on the website. The latest FW is 1.11.

Here's a summary of the fixes:

-neuro cable input 2 muting problem
-bugs related to switching in and out of preset banks using Alt Mode.
-Also I added in a calibration feature for the use with expression pedals. It's in the hardware options for the C4.

We still need to create a document with the firmware revision info. I haven't done that yet.​

I'm def no filter expert. But I do know when one sounds awesome and it just works. The Meatball preset @nnavarro made on the C4 is stellar IMO. It sounds the way a bass filter should sound. And it's simple and very effective. I love it. But again, not a filter expert. I just know when it sounds good. And there are two or three community presets that sounded straight awesome to me out of the box.

DMC Micro is a really good approach to get the most from the C4 without going full on-MIDI. If you already have a MIDI controller, then the Hub is fine.
