Beta units will be close to final. Easy to update. Badass graphics.will the beta units be functionally equivalent to the release versions? How do we get in on this?

Two Questions my friend!
Are these going to be release graphics too? Coz I love em already...and are the Beta's available across the pond to the UK? Just levering out my current Compressor pedal off my board to make way....and just take my money...ok....
Bass version too, the controls are a little different but otherwise the same pedal with access to all the same presets.Nice demo for sure and interest peaked also. This intended for both bass and guitar or is there a dedicated pedal for bass in the pipeline as well? Color me intrigued.

We are going to clarify these things on Monday.Interesting! If some of us bassists decide to pick up the beta version, are we stuck with the controls as-is, or will it be possible to use the bass specific controls on the demo unit? A dedicated blend or lo-retain is a definite want. Would it be better to wait for the full release?
Slightly different. More green than blue.Adding on to this, will the bass version have different graphics?
We cant support beta units outside the USA. Should then need to come back to us, the cost is a real challenge. Sorry! Want to support you!!Two Questions my friend!

It should do it. A while back I wrote about how the C4 FM works as the envelopes are linked to the FM capabilities in a very specific way. I'mn a bit spaced out right now as I have my head totally in another project but I'll see if I can find the notes I made. I'm sure I shared them here.Hey Sourcerers! I have been playing around with the FM capabilities of the C4 today, and am pretty stoked so far. Now that I've wrapped my head around how to use the FM, it seems quite capable.
The one thing I can't figure out is how to get a downwards sweeping FM sound. I'm having no problems getting an upwards sweep, but am looking for a way to reverse the envelope controlling the FM.
I'm hoping this is possible, if not, I'm not sure if this could be added to a list of potential feature requests for the C4? It would be slick if the FM knob was neutral (no FM) at 12:00, and turning it to the right would result in upwards FM envelopes and turning it to the left would result in downwards FM envelopes.
Basically trying to replicate another pedal with the C4 and the only thing I can't get it to do is the downward FM sweeps.
Oh, and super stoked to check out the Multiwave, and feed it into my C4!!

I’m a newbie to FM, but my understanding is that the sweep is a product of the envelope controlling the modulator wave. A swelling envelope controlling the modulator sine (slow attack, long sustain, slow decay) seems to make an upward sweep, so I would assume the opposite (fast attack, fast decay) might be the downward sweeps? I assume you’ve seen the Zach Rizer overview of the editor? FM stuff starts around 38:00...Hey Sourcerers! A quick search of my emails found it:
"This isn’t documented in the manual under the FM section but I’ve finally figured out what happens with the envelopes in the FM implementation. I had previously thought that whatever envelope was selected to control the modulator oscillator’s volume was what controlled the FM amount in the carrier oscillator. This is not the case. It actually looks like the two envelopes are hard-routed so that Sine 1’s FM amount (from either Sine 2 or the input signal) is always controlled by envelope 1. Similarly Sine 2’s FM amount (from either Sine 1 or the input signal) is always controlled by envelope 2. It’s probably worth mentioning this in the manual."
To sum up: if the sound is being (audibly) produced by Sine 1, then adjust Envelope 1
If the sound is being (audibly) produced by Sine 2, then adjust Envelope 2.
You are correct, downward envelope is not possible with FM as envelope inversion is handled at the filter level, which is not part of the FM engine, however, using the pre-defined ADSR shapes should give you plenty of options.

Holy cow, never heard this, great bass sound. It's close to the We Can Work It Out patch I posted. I was just having a Future Impact session and am getting close to it. It might be possible on C4 but the lack of filter envelope sustain might make it difficult as it sounds like the filter stays open after the decay. At first go it is a single sawtooth with very little resonance on the filter. I'll have a crack at it.
I’d forgotten all about this; must’ve got sidetracked. That is a nice bass sound. Did you ever get there on either the C4 or FI ?
Noticed the bass player is playing the line on a Lakland Skyline 55-01 for thr Live at KCRW version. Wonder what he was using for the effect.
man...do I hear that.I’d forgotten all about this; must’ve got sidetracked.
Luckily it’s the good kind of sidetracking: piano practice, writing some actual music (instead patches/clips) plus a bunch of bug testing/development work for a few projects.man...do I hear that.
