Just an FYI:

I emailed them this morning and a just couple hours later I got a response. I'll share what was written just in case anyone's in the same boat as me. Can't say thanks enough for the quick response. I'm sure I'll be asking more questions here and from SA. Thanks again.

If your running in mono, just connect input/output 1, no need to use in/out 2 in mono. As far making connections for midi, the minimum would be to run a midi cable from the soleman out to the neuro hub in, you can run a cable back, but it is not necessary, just allows the soleman display to show the preset names on the hub, but the hub must be set to midi out, not midi thru when doing this. Then just connect the included TRRS cables from the multi function outs of the neuro hub to the control inputs on the one series pedals. By default everything should be on midi channel one, and if all your doing is recalling hub scenes, this should be fine and will work out of the box in scene mode on the soleman. If you plan on doing more control of individual pedals via midi CC messages, you’ll need to set the one series pedals to unique midi channels, best to do this before you start building scenes on the hub, as the midi channels are saved to each scene, meaning if you change your mind you’ll need to go back and edit these presets so the midi channel is correct and re-save. Thanks for sharing this, I have a small SA ecosystem taking root on my guitar board and that may be helpful.

To readers of the thread in general: how much could I fake the basic functions of a POG using an Ultrawave? I would probably only need the upper octave, which is something I believe some of the distortion engines can provide, but can I get it to sound subtle and not too synthy?

So, on my gig last night, my C4 quit working. It passed sound through, but no fx. I’m controlling it via iPhone with midipad pro app. I could see it changing patches via the led’s, but no fx coming through. Today, I bypassed everything and went bass/c4/amp. Still passing sound but no fx. Anyone have an idea on what’s going on? I rebooted a few times, same scenario. Also tried using the neuro app, same outcome. Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you tried backing up your C4 in the desktop and then a factory reset?

I guess the few things to check to rule out any actual mechanical issues would be related to the settings. Is the mix up? Did you route to the correct output? Are the voices on?

Okay,..so back home,..hooked the C4 up to my desktop, tried to open the neuro app,...... no go,...says the app has crashed. Tried twice more, also rebooted my desktop, then uninstalled the neuro app and downloaded it again , same story. Now its saying the hidapi.dll is not found. I'm just a bit frustrated here. And to answer the above post, yes, routing was correct, mix is up, bypassed my midi app and did a straight bass/C4/amp,..passing sound but no effect. With the windows desktop neuro app not responding, I'm suddenly not feeling very positive about the entire thing. Going to uninstall and try again, but betting I get the same scenario. Anyone else had a similar thing happen?

In the neuro app, all I can pull up are factory settings, my feed , library, and community tabs just hourglass. I expected the library to be empty after doing a factory reset, so not surprised there. To add insult to injury, my old sluggish laptop is crashing when I pull the app up as well. WTH is going on here?

After my last post, I listened to a bunch of Ultrawave demos on YouTube and didn’t hear the octave sound I was looking for. I did find a POG modded for midi preset changes and got that. Never thought to look at the C4!

The good news is the POG is going on my guitar board. I’ve been eyeing the C4 for bass for a while and this gives me one more excuse.

The Ultrawave isn't really the right tool for a clean octaver sound. It's great at what it does, but asking it to do octaves is a bit like asking a fish to climb a tree. The Spectrum or C4 are the pedals intended for that type of sound.

Sadly, my aftershock has been in a drawer since I switched my big pedalboard for a Line 6 HX Stomp. Besides, all of my current projects don't need too much dirt and the HX could resolve pretty good. However, I'm now in a project that needs different fuzzes and synthy sounds. And, even though the HX has some great dirt effects, I was toying yesterday with the Aftershock again (through the SEND/RETURN of the HX) and it will come back. It nails the Big muff sound that I like and other low gain fuzzes I was looking for. I even downloaded an overdrive from the library that it's finally the overdrive that sounds in my head when I think about overdrives. And I had more than 20 different overdrive pedals. Man this Aftershock is too good.

I run my Solidgoldfx Beta MKii (OD) pedal before my spectrum. Works well, dependent on what pre-set I’m running.

My SA pedals are on a board with a broad mix of old and new pedals both analog and digital and there is no negative interaction when running one of my SA pedals into another pedal or visa versa.
