I really like what I'm hearing, a lot of really interesting flavorings and textures going on - some fine Bass playing. I just bought a SA Spectrum and was browsing through forums and discovered your recording. Some Saturday afternoon ear candy.
Guys, I'm not about to junk a perfectly good and working Strymon Ojai set up because some of the newer Cioks PSU's have a built in phone charger...
In the past I've avoided USB ports on my board because I don't want my phone anywhere near my board, amp or bass guitar.
Unfortunately the Faderfox PC4 doesn't have any external power source other than a 5v USB feed. Which highlights that this device wasn't designed for pedalboards. I think my only options are the Temple Audio's USB power output module, very nice, if a bit bid and clunky. Or the Rock Stock Bright Switch, which is more of a small pedal.
Funny you say charge your phone with it. I never considered that, when I saw that connection for the first time, my first thought was lights! I'm with you, I don't even like my phone in my pocket when I perform due to not wanting to hear the interference.
Temple Audio was to be my next thought/suggestion. I think I seen something else out there that coverts it as well. Long live the coffee holder!

A small mains extension cord under the pedalboard with a USB charger (or an extension cord with built-in USB port) probably takes up less space and will be MUCH cheaper than any musician/pedalboard-specific option. I’ve always integrated a small powerstrip under my pedalboard for utility/emergency purposes even after years of using Cioks supplies without issues.
Hey everyone! I was working with my Manta over the weekend and wanted to go back to factory settings. I did the reset and my presets went away, but every filter type sounds effectively the same. Am I missing something? I tried pressing and holding the function button to set the "optimal" setting for each but nothing changed. I also noticed that each channel has a bit of "grit" on it that I can dial OUT or INCREASE, but thats the only parameter that seems to have any impact on the sound (well, that and overall level). Any thoughts?

Has anyone else noticed that the Spectrum's Midi map is exactly the same as the C4's? Which makes a lot of the available options very confusing. I'm trying to map number to the the Spectrum's Octave level but there doesn't seem to be that option. There's the 4 voices from the C4, but none of these seem to map to the Spectrum's Octave level. Any ideas?

NPD Again!
This time it's the Spectrum.
So far I can clearly see there is a LOT under the hood using the Neuro app...but the downside of that is that I am TOTALLY lost LOL...I downloaded the 57 page PDF, printed it and 3 hole punched it...it's now a book I have to read.
Gold knobs arrived yesterday, I'm not sure who started that trend, but I've seen a few gold (and other colors) around, and they just look to cool for me to not do it too...Plus the red looks pretty sweet on the comp too IMHO.

Best envelope filter ever created...by a mile. Well, that was the objective I set for the team and they very well.
Start by just exploring the top level sounds. Then explore the community presets. The last step is using the editor. It's a simplified modular synth architecture. Zach Riser's C4 tutorial video will help explain the key blocks and how to use them. There are more blocks on the C4, but you can ignore that. Have fun! It's going to be a great journey.
OK, two quick questions for one (or all?) of the sorcerers in here?
I just redid my board...again...actually it's still kinda in pieces pending the answers to these questions.
I had to move my Aftershock out of one of my MS-3 loops, and into the signal chain (post octaves & modulation)...I've got the AS setup to power up in "bypass" mode...and then when I tap the patch for drive, the pedal powers up perfect and boom we have drive, however when I switch back to a clean patch, the pedal doesn't disengage.
1. What setting am I missing on the AS (or maybe the hub)? I'm sure there is somewhere that I can automatically command the pedal back into bypass mode once I change out of that patch? I currently have 6 different drives programmed (controlled by midi), and it's going to be a real bummer if I have to manually turn the pedal off each time I switch back out of a drive patch...
2. (Probably a REALLY stupid question) My Spectrum pedal is flashing the green light (main light, not the midi light)...Is that the tempo? or am I missing something entirely? If there is a spot in the manual that covers this, I obviously missed it...

Are these Neuro Hub presets? If you add the Aftershock to each of the presets in bypassed state, it will bypass it when you switch to those presets.
Yep, these are Neuro Hub presets.
And I'm probably not getting what your saying, but I added the AS to those presets in "active (on)" state, so the presets turn the pedal on just fine (from a bypassed state), but when I switch to a different patch that doesn't use the AS, the pedal doesn't "bypass" so basically I've got drive on everything unless I manually turn it off again.
You need to add the Aftershock to every preset, and put it in bypass state. If the Aftershock is not part of the preset, it wont be affected by it.
So basically I have to go through everyone of my MS-3 presets (like 30ish) and add the AS to each one in bypass mode? Effectively telling my Neuro hub to turn the AS off in every patch? Even patches that don't use the hub or any of the SA stuff on my board?
