Hey all, a question about the Aftershock...I have been using it almost exclusively on a larger board with other SA stuff, a hub, scenes, full midi control, etc. I pulled it off the board with a couple other pedals to put on a small board for a quick benefit gig and will be using it without midi control. I saved presents to the pedal in all six slots and assigned parameters to the knobs. Question is is there any way to have the knobs control the selected parameter on one channel only, either left or right, not both? I'm running it mono in-stereo process-mono out and want to adjust the gain, for example, on the left channel only. Also, is there any way to make green mode similar to red (preset) mode where the knob positions are ignored until they are moved? Preset mode is fine, I move the toggle where I want, engage the pedal, and the sound i expect is there. Green mode, i have to adjust the knobs after engaging the pedal to try and find the settings i had saved, and then it adjusts both channels which are not always saved the same. Any thoughts? Unfortunately no. This was an earlier design. It didn’t get the level of control options as the C4 for presets and control.
Ok, thanks. That's kind of what I thought, unfortunately. I'll have to re-think my presets a little. Not a big deal.
Speaking of earlier designs, is the Ultrawave considered to be the successor to the Aftershock?

Totally different thing. It’s more a successor to the SB2 Multiwave Distortion pedals (and then some).
As @Quatschmacher said the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] is an expansion on the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] in so many ways it is very much more as it also includes a fully functional Compressor Expander, 8 band EQ with adjustable lo and hi pass filters, a complex LFO section and a mixer.
I just got a Aftershock pedal. I hooked it up for the 1st time a little while ago and nothing. No output when engaging the pedal. I'm using the factory power supply and have my bass plugged into input 1 and output 1 going to my GK plex. Signal passes thru until I engage. The light turns on and nothing. Controls all set at noon, no response on all three toggle positions. I tried to hook up to my tablet and I'm not able to find the pedal in the software. It doesn't see it. Now that doesn't necessarily mean anything since my tablet has a wonky audio output jack.
Any way what am I missing. Bought it as a demo off Reverb but this is brand new. Its never been out of the plastic bag and the cords all had the tie wraps in place. I'll return it and get another if I need to but I'm looking for ideas before going that route.

The audio connection is only one way so that won't really help. I would connect it to a pc with the USB and do a factory reset and firmware upgrade as a start.
That was my 1st thought as well. I was going to pick up a cable later today so I could try that. Standard USB to the Micro USB they use on these.
Stuff happens and just because it's new doesn't mean it's good. If I can't get anything out of it I'll just get another.
Any other thoughts out there are appreciated.

Question regarding the modulation pedals (Mercury, Gemini, Lunar). Does changing the engine to one from the other also change the knobs to match? For example, I have the Mercury Flanger, and want to know if I use the chorus engines, does that change the bottom two knobs to Mix/Tone as opposed to the factory Resonance/Delay? Or do those settings have to be done in the app?
The Aftershock pedal is much clearer with knob assignments, so I wasn’t sure with these.

no, whatever knob assignments are physically on the pedal remain the same for all the engines.
I feel like there hasn’t been too many rumblings about the new pedal that’s coming out soon, the Instagram clip makes me think it’s going to be an amp/preamp. Any thoughts?
Generally...no.
However, if you have a midi controller you can via Midi CC. I use a Faderfox PC4 and I have 2 of the knobs assigned to the Aftershock. I use them to control the wet / dry mix on either channel. One of the curiocities of the Aftershock's Midi Map is that there isn't a global Midi CC setting for the physical gain, level, bass, treble controls. You have to assign two midi CC's, one for each channel. So there's no master volume via midi either. So if I want to pull the pedal's volume back a tad, I have to use the level knob on the pedal. If I want to control each channel's level separately, I have to assign a Faderfox knob for each channel.
The fader fox PC4 knobs work in the manner that you are asking. When I select a patch on my Aftershock, I get the patches settings. If I move a dial on my PC4, those are the new settings. If I revert back to the same patch again I get the original settings / values again. None of the midi settings are retained.
For some pedals, the Faderfox PC4 is really useful. My SA Ultrawave has Morph and Balance controls mapped to the sustain and treble knobs for most of my Ultrawave patches. I then use 3 knobs on my PC4 to expand the Ultrawave's UI and control the Bass, Treble and Compression. So even the newer SA pedals can benefit from some extra Midi Control.
I appreciate that the Faderfox PC4 option is a bit heavy handed and enters the complex world of Midi. It's certainly not for everyone. But it is the only way I know of to get around some of the Aftershock's limitations, which are still way more advanced than most dirt pedals!
Hey man, older post but I couldn't find a definitive answer on this. I've been a long time C4 user (I pre-ordered from Sweetwater before they were even out) but I just ordered a DMC micro pro - and it doesn't have a gHost adapter. I have a bunch of USB b to USB b cables - did you end up needing the gHost adapter, or did USB to USB work? Thanks!
I did end up buying the adapter from DMC. I felt dumb doing it but I tried several smaller cables with right angle ends that I hoped would work but mixed results. The cable in the pic worked some of the time but also cut out sometimes so I'd have to adjust it. I would not recommend. But I have had no issues since getting the one from DMC. Sorry.
