But you can send midi over the Neuro cables with the Box. Midi cable to Box, neuro cables out to the SA boxes.

So I have a Hub already, and a DMC.micro. What I've been doing so far is saving scenes in the Hub, and then using the DMC.micro to trigger PC changes on the Hub's MIDI channel itself, to switch entire Hub scenes.

It's starting to sound like the Hub can be used to simply pass MIDI messages that trigger PC changes directly to the One Series pedals "behind" it. Is that correct? Could I instead just make sure the pedals connected to it each are set to listen on their own unique MIDI channels, and then just add those pedals as devices the DMC.micro? The Hub would then pass through the PC changes destined for those channels?

Hub can’t pass PC messages. It’s a carryover from its original design, to allow for midi control of pedals that didn’t have midi or presets on your own.

I think for me, older pedals like my Lunar and Aftershock, they benefit from Neuro hub's 128 scene patches options. Especially considering how they map across multiple pedals. So for me, Scene 1 sets up my most common Aftershock and Chorus patch. I then use the 6 patches on the 3 way switches as my optional variants on each pedal. So my scenes are my first choice load out and my switches are my options / variants. When I re-call the same scene or choose another scene, all of he settings revert to the Scene again. My Ultrawave, Spectrum and C4 have a lot of patches loaded, my most used are loaded into the 3 way toggle, but I think these three devices would benefit with direct midi control (outside of my maxed out Neuro hub / scenes). Which would leave my older small one Series pedals controlled via the Neuro hub, which works really well for me. I'm another big fan of the Neuro hub. I think it's a brilliant device. TRRS cables are a lot smaller than a pair of 5 pin midi DIN cables. If you just use the hub Scenes, there's the possibility of only connecting the USB port on the Hub and not bothering to connect all the other 5 devices via USB to the Neuro Desktop. That cuts down on a lot more wiring.

That’s what I’ve been doing with my ultrawave and c4. Aftershock only turns on/off in this setup.

So on, for example, the Aftershock I assume PC0 through PC2 are left / center / right switch and so are PC3 through PC5. But which is set is red mode and which is green mode?

From an SA n00b, a question for the experienced C4 users:

I've been cooking up some C4 patches, and in one it sounds like there's some tremolo (which I don't want) even though I have that knob in the two voices turned down to zero and the master depth also at zero. I was trying to get an octave up effect (like an 8 or 10 string bass); both voices are poly pitch with the envelope off, one at Oct 0 and the other at Oct +1.

What am I missing? TIA for any clues you can offer.

I’ve been getting a high pitched digital
Noise from my setup but ONLY when I have my EQ2 plugged into the hub. When I unplug it, the noise goes away.

My chain is:
Bass - Shure GLX Wireless > EQ2 > Cali 76 CB > C4 > Aftershock > Spectrum > CB Warped Vinyl HiFi > Red Panda Context 2 > Origin Bass Rig

then it’s MC8 midi to HUB, hub for all the Source Audio stuff. I had the EQ set to have a JBass (Slapp and fingerstyle) and a PBass (pick and fingerstyle) EQ curve. With Channel 2 as my “oh crap” input in case my wireless pack dies. I also use the noise gate to help eliminate any pickup buzz when I solo pickups (the Am Performer Mustang can be noisy when soloed on either side as well as my Am Pro Jazz Bass).

TLDR: Would using a 5 pin MIDI cable eliminate that noise.

Ok I am really interested cause I am looking for a compressor for a long time now. I think it is very hard to judge from that video because it quite subtle. Especially with that vintage hollow body bass I don't hear much difference. I am listening on studio monitors.

I have a few questions though:
1) is it exactly the same compressor as in the Ultra Wave? Does the Ultra Wave have the same options?
2) Will it sound as good as the analog compressors like the Cali 76 for example?
3) can it do Dynacomp emulations for guitar? I also do a lot of guitar and I am looking for a compressor that can handle both bass and guitar equally well.

That'll be essential when dialling in settings on the dual band. A different range on each band but operated from a single knob. Otherwise, one is just adjusting the same setting range on 2 identical compressors.

It's was more featured than the compressor found in the Ultrawave. The line that made me laugh in the Source Audio Youtube vids is the bit where Bob said "we were trying to put the Ultrawave compressor in a box, do it in Stereo...and then...yeah we just couldn't stop there...."

Having a list of accurate Compressor models to choose from really makes this an incredibly versatile compressor. One of the things I loved about the EBS MultiComp was the three way character switch. I could flick between a Multband, standards and tube compressor at a flick of a switch. It was only limited by it's models and the single compression knob. Where as the Atlas has lots of models, Stereo and multiband options...plus (effectively) 8 surface knobs. Plus the 8 band Graphic EQ and wide 3 band controls. This is a seriously versatile compressor. Plus all of the expression, mappable controls and Midi...it's making me very interested. I really think that Source Audio are going to sell a lot of these units. Another very strong product from Source Audio!

I'm not gonna lie, I was disappointed when I read that the Atlas was a compressor... but seeing the editing panel in Neuro? Good grief, this thing is gonna be insane!! A proper studio tool, almost certainly.
Does anyone have an idea of how the sidechain can trigger? I'm not in a place to watch any demos or videos at the moment.
