I’m not sure I understand what this thread is. Is this some sort of club for Source Audio owners?
If so, count me in! I didn’t use pedals for the first 18 or so years of playing bass, but a Source Audio Spectrum is the pedal that got me deeply into pedals.
I use the Ventris, Nemesis, Spectrum, and Ultrawave on my board (among several other things from other manufacturers). The Nemesis is my fav pedal, by far, and made me fall in love with delays.

So what crazy power user sorcerers in here use a usb hub for their pedals so they can edit multiple items simultaneously? I’m looking at getting a 13 port hub to mount to my board but wanted to make sure sabrent is a good, known working hub with the editor. Being an SA tech support guy, I’ve seen my share of complaints of the presets disappearing from the editor when using a hub (some work, some don’t, I just want to make sure I get one that works). Anyone have a known good one they use or reliable brand? Currently using a mono price cube for 2 hubs and the soleman, and it’s worked well. But in conjunction with the mobile app now supporting usb for a good chunk of our devices, and not wanting to pull a usb cable out anytime I want to edit individual pedal presets. Thought it finally be worth mounting a bigger usb hub to handle the 2 hubs, soleman, and 9 one series pedals, with a little room for expansion, cuz who knows what will have available next

only thing I can guess with regards to presets disappearing would be the save button is accidentally getting pressed on the hub which is (or was not sure if this was fixed with fw) but I have yet to experience this.
And if it included the Ultrawave, you'd have to have the UW preset match the corresponding slot number. I've run into that when I've changed UW presets and forgot the scene had the UW using preset x, which is now preset y, just in the slot where x once was. Downloading scenes would be cool, but I could see it being very unwieldy. "Family presets" of presets that make up scenes would be nice to see flourish more, particularly with routing ideas in the description. Sometimes it's the combination that makes the sound itself, sometimes the combination just sets it apart in the mix.
If it's the SABRENT 13 Port High Speed USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter and 2 Control Switches (HB-U14P), then that's the one I got last May, and have been using it with my Soleman, Lunar, Collider, C4, Spectrum, Atlas, Aftershock, EQ2, UW, and Hub. I will warn you, and I was about to post this in the above reply, too: I typically run this on my desktop while I have my PreSonus Studio1810 on and Studio One open to record, and it does use up a ton of memory. I've had some glitches, the Aftershock and Lunar are more prone to reverting to one of the 3 factory presets for no discernible reason. I just will happen to notice a sonic shift, and I'll look at the editor, and sure enough, the preset I was on has now changed. It doesn't happen often.
Also, of note, as per earlier in this thread, I recently took to using a One Spot for a few of the pedals, just to cut down on the power strip real estate crisis. It has had no issues, whatsoever, and I just make sure the higher drawing pedals (Collider), or more complex (C4 and UW) are on their supplies. No problems so far.

when using Windows I had to use a USB2.0 port, as it exceeded capacity of my 3.0 ports. My MacBook handled it fine, even with it plugged into a thunderbolt hub.
I was also able to power it with my Cioks DC7. Not sure if they make a larger capacity hub to handle all your pedals though.
I don’t think you’ll find patch cables that will fit that tight. You might have to stagger the pedals, and even then it will be tight and might not fit.

I have both on my board and either are great. They are available in different lengths. The Rockboard versions are available in longer lengths. You get a little more space back if you stagger them slightly.
However a pair of these (one each side) are still slightly wider than the chrome 1/4" straight through connectors.

The Source Audio mini TRRS connecters are really low profile. However, the most low profile 5 pin din midi cables I've found (so far) are also Rockboard flats. These issue with these is their plug direction isn't adjustable. The next best are the EBS Blue Dot cables, these are currently un-obtainium. The One Control are good and there's a new range of Rockboard and Roland cables that I've not tried yet, but all of these are way wider than the Rockboard flats.
There is a 170 character limit on the description but sadly it doesn't incorporate scrolling - so if I did 1 character per line I could use 170 lines. There isn't a straight forward way that I can think of to get around this. E.g. if you prevent the use of the return key in a text box then you'll prevent useful formatting. Alternatives would be to allow scrolling within the Neuro App Preset description box or auto-size the neuro app description (and allow the ability to copy).
You can download the preset to "My Library" and hit the edit button to see the full description but it is a bit of a faff.
Does it make any difference if the USB hub is powered or not ?
Do you have any statistics on that ?

Powered hubs tend to work better, it’s typically been at random where this issue has come up. I’ve seen it personally once or twice, but can’t remember what I was doing to cause it, pretty sure I wasn’t using a hub at the time, its been awhile since it’s happened to me.
no, every time this issue has come up, the usb hub taken out of the equation has solved it. No consistency on the hub type, other than they’re usually unpowered.
well that’s a good sign then. Good to know I won’t be wasting money on 13 port usb hub.
Thanks for the tips. I have some EBS cables but it’s too tight unless I use output 2 and input 1, is it ok to route it that way? Is that what you mean with stagger? Otherwise I might go for the direct connectors since I won’t be stepping on the pedals anyway.
I will continue to search for the rest of the cables needed, should be a very powerful board with lots of possibilities.
You will need to use Input 1 and Output 1. Stagger means you’ll need to have some of the pedals higher on the board, like a zig zag.
Oh, I see. So it isn’t possible to route input 1 to output 2 in a pedal?
The Spectrum can do it (or at least the C4 can, not familiar with the Spectrum), but you will struggle with the others as they don’t have as flexible routing.
Technically, you could run the Spectrum completely from Input 2 and Output 2, which might give you enough room? Just have to make sure you adjust all your presets.
