Need recommendations please....Ultrawave before or after the Spectrum in the signal path. I also have a diamond compressor that I would like to fit in (maybe? Do I even need it?).

I have the Ultrawave and a C4 though they're not wired up. It's all about what you're looking to do. Filter vs. compressor/fuzz is one of the biggest questions in pedal order, it all depends on taste. If you want your filter to respond more to your playing dynamics and then tame with the compressor, then filter > fuzz. If you want an even signal going to your filter and/or have the filter shape the fuzz, then fuzz > filter. I personally prefer the latter.

*I'm thinking of the Ultrawave as both a "fuzz" and a compressor in this example, of course "fuzz" and other distortions have naturally compressive characteristics.

depends…i use my uw with a midi controller to switch between clean and distorted sounds. So that eliminated any preamp or compressor pedal i used before. I’d put the spectrum before.

I understand that it's subjective, but I'm running with an Aftershock, Gemini, and newly acquired C4. My question is, should I place the Gemini after the C4? Aftershock, C4, Gemini? I'm going to place my compressor at the end. Thoughts? Here is a pic, still finishing wiring, and my Tonehammer will replace the Paradriver.

This sounds like how I'd wire these pedals up, or your could switch the C4 and Aftershock.

Yes, towards the beginning of the chain will be your best bet, or near the beginning but after a boost or compressor would work well too.

Today I meticulously wired up my board adding the C4. I am using the hub and also have the Soleman controller to add as well. I briefly hooked up to my laptop and had no problem loading community presets to the C4 but nothing out of the Gemini or Aftershock. Says engaged but obviously not. Worked fine before making changes to the order. Hmmm? Any input would be very welcomed. I see the Channel number next to the pedals in the desktop app.

No I hadn't even touched scenes yet. Just testing the pedals. Added them into a new scene to edit. I might have changed the channels though. Someone said the C4 likes channel 1.

The pedals will work on any midi channel so long as the hub scenes have the correct channel saved, if the hub scene doesn’t match the channel, than the scene won’t recall properly On those pedals. If you have no saved scenes I’m not sure what’s not working on the other pedals then. What are you using the hub for at this time?

I picked up what I think was the last new copy available in the uk.

Thankfully not; I got mine from Bassdirect a couple of days ago to complete my board. If I could have just one pedal it would have to be the UltraWave; it is truely amazing what you can get out of it especially thanks to the community presets.

Currently running C4 > UW > Gemini > Collider ... just need to add some Collider presets to the MC6.

I just completed my new pedal board and will be using the hub in conjunction with the Soleman to create scenes. Later today I will reset the pedals and Hub. Then give it another go. Back a few years ago, maybe 5 lol I had the OFD, Manta, Orbital, Hub. After an absence I'm "relearning" so to speak. Thanks for the help! Greatly appreciated!

Quick update, bad cable between the HUB and my aftershock. I reset the Gemini and now all is working well. Diagnostics 101 LOL, start at the Source "no pun intended".

Similar to photo, but a 3 ring one?

Want to assign pedal to UW and C4 (arriving tomorrow). Will it be possible to assign to seperate functions on each pedal to use simultaneously , OR will it be limited to just one at a time?

I'm reluctant to invest in midi cc. Too much. Keep things simple. Atm, the phone app is fine for me to switch beyond 6 presets.

no, I have never seen a TRRS Y cable for one, and the TRRS port is propriatary in its wiring in order to work with our expression pedal, hub, and tap switch. You could use the 1/4 in connections, but you’ll need to flip the tip and ring connections with a crossover cable, and the minimum and maximum values in the app for the expression functions will be reversed.

Just to be clear about this. The Dual EXP has only 2 internal potentiometers. It can he used with only 2 pedals at a time. If you use the TRRS port, you cannot use the TRS port on that side of the pedal for something else. They are tied together.

So if I use 1/8" TRRS on one side and 1/4" TRS on the other side, will I get full capability of assigning the possible different parameters from each pedal??

Can I use exp pedal on BOTH SA pedals simultaneously (controlling different parameters on each)

Yes that will all work. You will just need to convert that 1/4 TRS to the 1/8 TRS as @Gibs210 describes. We should probably have added a second TRRS port, but this was created before we had so many pedals like the C4 and Ultrawave!
