Hi Quaschmacher, I've gone a bit further. In my quest for a Double bass sound this is as far as I have now got. Pretty close enough for me. I've used an Electro Acoustic bass that i built a number of years ago. It's fitted with a Highlander under saddle piezo pickup and matched preamp with Thomastic Acoustic bronze strings. I took this bass apart and I re-finished the lacquer earlier last year. Although it looks a lot like a Rob Allen it's far closer to a Rick Turner Renaissance in it's construction, playing and tone.
To me this bass pretty much sounds like an EUB. Without the size and cost. It's a 5 string and on a 34" scale.
In this clip, I've used this bass into a C4 (using your patch) > EQ2 for a bit of EQ and into a collider for a touch of Hall Reverb.
I've played a bit without at C4 patch and then dropped it in the rest of the clip.
This bass still needs a bit of adjustment of the Piezo pickup which is under the saddle. The lower strings are very quiet compared to the higher strings.
I have to really dig into the E and B strings to get the C4 to register the note and play the patch thump / slap.
