I have a C4 and I bought an UltraWave Bass this week on a whim (good used price got me).
How should I use them together, or should I? Do they jive well together or will the UltraWave pair better with other effects?

I have both C4 & UW and been closely studying the possible pairings, over the last month or 2. Spurred on by finally getting a midi controller, which greatly facilitates scrolling through presets of each, to experiment with combinations. Hardly a day goes by without a sweet 'little discovery'.
Each pedal has SO MUCH within themselves, so to combine both together brings massive potential for 'creative' sounds.
In the early days, I would think of each pedal doing distinctly different things - C4 for synth & UW for distortions. And this does hold true of course, but certain parameters overlap in interesting ways. As well as fine control of multiband frequencies, the UW has dual channel compression, EQ and tremolo.
For example, I use the UW to 'tickle' higher frequencies of C4 synths, add subtle distortions to sit with C4 subs, and use different comps/EQs from UW to enhance C4 filter effects. Or just try cutting/boosting certain frequencies with UW. Then assign parameters to expression pedal for.....expression.
I dont know what music genres you're into, but I'm fascinated, delighted and sometimes baffled with these 2 SA pedals.

Is "Preset Extension Mode" only accessible when using the Neuro app? I'd like to access four more settings on the EQ2 just using the pedal, is that possible?
I've read the manual (it's mentioned in the EQ2 Manual on p.19 bit not explained) and looked at a few videos and can't find the answer.

Just for clarity, this is preset extension mode:
Yes, it is enabled using Neuro in the hardware settings. This will give you 8 presets.
If you want more, then use the method described in the previous post.
Thanks @fourstringdrums and @rsmith601, now I get it. I can access presets 1-4 using the footswitch, but to access presets 5-8 I have to hold down "Select" and turn the "Encoder" knob.
Is it possible to access presets 5-8 using just the footswitch? How?
If I have to enable this in the Neuro app, how do I do that?
Do I have to have a Neuro Hub to do that at my feet (no hands)?

You can get a Disaster Audio Micro DMC Micro Pro to access all the presets. That would be the easiest way.

You can access the first 8 presets instead of 4 this way

If you are in extended preset mode you can scroll through all 8 presets just like you can if you are only using 4 presets. The only time that things get tricky is when using more than 8.

You have to enable preset extension in the app, then the first 8 are accessible via the pedal itself.

YES, you can us the footswitch for either 1-4 or 1-8. Page 18 in the user guide:
Recalling Presets The first four User Presets (or eight in Preset Extension Mode) are accessible via the onboard hardware or with an external footswitch in the following ways:
1. Click the SELECT button to cycle through the hardware user presets. This function works whether the pedal is engaged or bypassed.
2. By default, when the effect is bypassed, press and hold down the footswitch to cycle forward through presets. Release when you’ve arrived at your desired slot. If the pedal is engaged, you will not be able to cycle through presets. This behavior can be switched in the Neuro App and Neuro Desktop Editor’s Hardware Options for the EQ2, so you can cycle through presets while the pedal is engaged rather than bypassed.
3. To access further presets (9–128), press the SELECT button while holding the ENCODER KNOB. Then, use the Encoder to navigate to the preset slot you’d like. Then, press the SELECT button once more to select that preset slot.

This wording is a little ambiguous. "Holding" as in pressing the encoder knob's button? Or just press select while turning the encoder?
1) Engage the pedal, the main green light is on
2) Press and hold the "Select" button
3) Click and release the "Encoder" knob once. This gets you into the "Preset Extension Mode".
4) Turn the "Encoder" knob to scroll through the "Presets".
5) After you get to your desired "Preset" number, click the "Encoder" knob to select it.
I can access all 128 presets this way.
