There is going to be one more beta release and it should be any day now. I am travelling, so I dont know the status. It was supposed to be today....

Anyone know what the deal with Soleman is? It seems to be removed from catalogues of major European dealers such as Thomann. I was planning of getting one to use in par with hub (which I don’t have yet) and perhaps buy more SA pedals since Soleman seemed to support two hubs simultaneously and had other nice features as well. I have 5 SA pedals and was planning to get more into my hybrid pedalboard (bass&guitar). Now I’m not sure if I should just get a hub&midimouse for my existing pedals and consider other brands for getting the rest of my planned pedals. I don’t have dentist money and American pedals are quite expensive here, so I don’t want to invest my savings into something that may not be that usable in the future. I usually spend weeks, months or even years checking gear and planning what to get, so sometimes something gets discontinued while I’m thinking whether to get it or not :) I tried finding information regarding Soleman, but couldn’t fine any, so perhaps ppl here could provide some clue?

Thanks for the tip regarding Morningstar, though seems a bit expensive when I checked it. I am aware there are other (several) options, but I tend to favor brands I already have and which have worked well. It’s my way of supporting the brands, but I can try out other brands when needed. And I was hoping Soleman would be integrated into Neuro eventually (seems it will not from previous posts). Additionally W-distribution gives 4 year guarantee to SA products in EU (they extend Thomann’s 3 year warranty by 1 year if you register). I’m not that experienced with midi, but I guess other brand controllers can do the same tricks as Soleman, such as supporting two hubs.

Another vote for Morningstar- they are among a small group of companies still making constant updates, improvements, and support for MIDI controller pedals these days. They have a pretty decent stretch now of supporting and improving their products so are a good investment IMO. Soleman seems to basically be a forgotten product that was ahead of its time but in its current state probably can't compete with some of the new stuff available

Soleman is a great product, but we noticed that some others (Morningstar and Damage Control) were very focused in this area and constantly adding improvements. We have decided to focus more on pedals and let the MIDI experts focus on doing MIDI controllers. We view them more as partners rather than competitors these days.

As others have noted, no problem using any MIDI controller too work with 2 Hubs.

Thanks for the info. It’s usually a good business decision to stick to things you know best rather than expanding into everything. Unless you have unlimited resources :)

Morningstar is more pricey. But so worth it. I'm def no MIDI expert, but of the couple controllers I do have exp with, the MC6 was easily the best looking, functioning and easiest to work with. Their PC software is great to. I always end up overthinking MIDI to the point my brain starts to hurt when I ever used it haha. But Morningstar really got their stuff figured out wonderfully.

Yep you guys and other members helped me set up my soleman, while maybe not the most elegant, I can now get it to do anything I want switch between pedals and presets,scroll and save scenes and recall.

it’s seems to me that most SA pedals can swing both ways without issue. Usually. We shall see…..still exciting regardless. Always exciting when SA drops new stuff :D
