hey.. so how is the new Neuro app working out for everyone? I have been waiting to switch over as it seemed like there was a few bugs with the rollout.. Noticed no one has repled to this thread in a week or so- any updates?
For my main board that has 5 older SA pedals I am staying with the older version of Neuro until all the bugs are worked out. In my studio I have an Artifakt so am working with N3 but there are regular frustrations from having to too often restart my PC multiple times to get it to load properly (if it goes through the registration screen there is an enormous latency of 10-20 seconds) to make changes to occasionally timing out resulting in lockup or lost parent syndrome.

My curiosity got the best of me and I bought an old Source Audio Multiwave Distortion. I've been using the bass version with my bass rig, but it didn't sound so good on guitar, so I bought the guitar version. It may be the greatest distortion pedal nobody has ever played.

The guitar version moves up the frequency range and drops the clean volume for a sustain knob. No tone knobs needed. Just a variety of awesome distortions, foldback fuzzes, octaves, and who knows what else is in here. It's perfectly voiced and you could run an EQ pedal after it for even more variation.

The only reason I prefer these over the La Lady/Kingmaker/Aftershock is because the only controls are on the face of the pedal. No app, no presets, WYSIWYG. I'll probably look for a second one.
 
So I've got a workflow type question for the One Pedals - specifically the Ultrawave (Bass).

As far as I understand it, a preset holds all the settings for all the knobs etc. So as I change the between circle/square/triangle, everything is reset to the preset's stored settings (overriding the current knob positions)

If that is correct, how do I "save" a preset's current settings? Say I've got a preset set as circle, and I switch to it. Then I fiddle with all the knobs until it's just right. Now how do I save this so it's the saved version of that preset? Unplug what's in the USB port, connect my phone, open the Neuro 3 app, pray that the pedal connects and reads the current status so I can now save it as a new preset? Or is there some other way? I didn't notice in the manual that there is a way to do this from the pedal.

I've been curious about this route for the extra footswitches. I'm really putting the mini toggle on the one series to work switching presets and I'm not ready to integrate midi.

To save: press and hold the footswitch until the LED flashes.

I currently run a C4 and an Ultrawave with the UW as an always on preamp with seperate presets for each of my basses.
Ideally, I want to run from the C4 to the UW using 2 cables. When the C4 is turned on, I want a clean tone through one, and an effected tone through the other.
I then want the UW to split the signals into highs and lows and add seperate compression/eq/dirt to each of them. Is this an option?
Ive been running a single line into the UW before and it worked fine in that way, but I wonder if adding a seperate clean line might better my tone.
When I tried it, only the low signal was passing out of the UW
 
Could someone who has a Mercury Flanger and access to the desktop editor please check something for me:

If you load a phaser patch into the pedal and turn the “delay” knob on the pedal, does the “frequency” knob in the editor move? In the old editor the knob was labelled frequency/delay.

Basically, I need to know whether it’s possible to control the phaser sweep’s centre frequency directly from the pedal; if so, I need to get one instead of my Lunar as that’s a far more useful feature to me than control over the LFO shape.

For the Mercury Flanger, the editor displays the Delay control, even with a phaser algorithm loaded.
When the knob is turned it does adjust what seems to be the frequency but the change is subtle.
Interestingly the physical sweep of the knob only goes from minimum to 12 o'clock in the app; this is the case in the Neuro 3 and previous desktop release.

Thanks for checking that. Wonder if this is something to do with thru-zero flanging - does that give a negative delay time with negative from noon to 7 o’clock and positive from noon to 5 o’clock? Or maybe there’s a bug somewhere here then. I did notice in the mobile app that it only says “delay” whereas in pre-N3 versions it was “delay/frequency”; perhais this needs attention too.

@rsmith601 might be worth getting Jesse to have a look. If frequency control is indeed possible on phaser patches via the “delay” knob on Mercury then I think I’ll need to get one to use in place if my Lunar.
 
Popping in with a quick question - am I correct in understanding that the TRS functions of In 2 and Out 2 on the collider are for MIDI communication only and does not create an effects loop while also maintaining stereo operation? While my ideal that seems too good to be true and that In1 and Out 1 are mono.

No midi on in/out 2. The ring carries neuro app data on a trs connection, and audio signal on the tip. Meaning that it cannot do both effects loop and stereo operation.
 
The TRS on in 2 and out 2 uses the tip receive & send audio, and the ring to receive and thru-put data. The data is not MIDI, it is proprietary data format from Neuro to Source Audio pedals.

So there's two mono inputs, 1 & 2, and two mono outputs 1 & 2, and data is kind of snuck in on the in/out 2 cable-- without interfering with the audio.

The routing is not affected by using the data of in/out 2, except that having a cable plugged into in/out 2 will be detected; so if the routing is set to auto, it will sense a cable (TS or TRS) is connected and assume an audio connection is there.
