@rsmith601 So suggestions to Ultrawave (I don't know other of your pedals). If routing is mono - stereo - mono, it would be nice to link graphic EQs together to make easier fine tuning.

Another improvement idea is how master tone controls operate. I cannot use bass and mid adjusting overall sound, because they go always to channel left and cannot be reassigned. I have parallel path: compressor for low end in one channel and distortion high end in another channel. Now bass and mid knobs adjust the channel one always, but there is no mids to adjust because I have high cut in 200hz for channel one. I would need to adjust channel two mids.

My suggestions for solution:
  • Linking them so that they adjust overal mixed sound when having mono - stereo - mono.
or
  • Alterative controls (bass and mid) can be reassigned to channel of your choice.
  • I have used treble knob to another job, so it would be nice to be able to assig treble into alternative controls like bass and mid are. Maybe Level and Drive knobs would have alt control option too (they can be empty from the factory so no need to change text in front panel).
You have a great offering and for the price you can get a a lot of features. And sounds are top notch, not just fine. Even without my humble suggestions I can live with the pedal, and it does just what I needed and wanted (a lot more flexible version of Darkglass X seriel pedal or Parallax plugin)

I think we ran out of code and that is why bass and mid do not allow for reassignment. As for the linking of graphic EQs they should be ganged together as long as you link them together in the app. You can also cascade them use the cascade routing, that would be all of channe 1 into channel 2.

I understand if you cannot increase the code size anymore or running out of memory.

Link doesn't work because I need parallel processing and two channels is mandatory.

I am using mono - stereo - mono mode so cascading doesn't work either.

Don't worry, I'm happy with the pedal as is. And thanks for commenting, I appreciate it a lot.

Not sure I’m following what you’re trying to do. Mono in stereo process mono out should work with linked controls. Cascade routing works with mono in/out, just channel A is in front of channel B

When I link I cannot adjust compressor and distortion separately to each channel. All functions are locked in second channel and they follow channel 1. At least this how I undetstood.

Cascade is series connection for channels? I need mono signal in, then parallel routing for channels to make parallel processing and then mixed into mono output.

Hi

Just got the ultra wave a few days ago !!
Love this thing !!! Amazing possibilities!!!

However …

Why is it so limited in the midi map options ?

I wish I could map it same way I mapped the C4 , with the routing and distortion choice …

Is there a way to save a preset directly from the pedal ?

And one last thing … I have it hooked up with CME UHOST for midi via USB … it doesn’t seem to respond to midi clock and when I plus it to my iPad the app doesn’t recognize it , it does get recognized by my Mac …

All these issues a super minor comparing to the sound sculpture abilities!!!

This one is staying right next to my C4 on the pedalboard … not going anywhere anytime soon …

I don’t think the Uhost works with our pedals. Perhaps someone else can answer here.

You can always get the SA EQ2 and let the mono summing be done with EQ2

This is true and I actually was thinking the option, but decided so far to go with single pedal (on top of amp) without pedalboard. I made some minor EQ adjustments today and it is not big deal to do so with Ultrawave even in parallel mode. Basically all is done in 2nd channel because 1st channel has only freqs below 200hz, so there is no need for eq.

If I'll go into pedalboard, EQ2 will be my first choice to entend the set. That is very good tool for, size, sound, price and flexibility. Then I'll jump also to Tech21 Midi Mouse to make one stomp changes.

If not a video - can we get an explain? what are they?
The ladder filter, in various configurations, has been a nice addition. The thru-zero flange setting is a keeper. As for a patch I made myself, I did one using the vinyl engine, added light record scratch noise, mostly dialed up the saturation, and added a slight bit of modulation to get to an early hip-hop turntable-sample tone.

Can I get clarification on Neuro app routing options? I want to use my pedals in both my main and FX loops. Certain pedals, like the C4, UW and Ventris, are two processor units with one per input, making it pretty easy to envision and configure in the app. The Mercury, Gemini, Vertigo and Nemesis are a bit more confusing to me as there is routing switching involved. Which routing configuration do I choose to change the effect between the main and FX loops at input 1 and 2 respectively if possible? I figure that I'll be assigning MIDI channels to pedals to utilize scenes on the Soleman to swap functions, but the routing has stumped me, likely due to ignorance on my part.

Just spent quite a bit of time finishing some Artifakt presets ready to upload and before i did i decided to update the pedal to the latest firmware. Big mistake. Now all the patches have changed and sound completely different. Anyone know why updating the latest firmware would change the settings so drastically??? Is there anyway to go back to the previous firmware update?

I've tried loading a previous back up save but it still has the same problem.

You can manually change firmware using neuro 8.86 from the website. I don’t know that will fix this issue or not.

I am going to reach out to you directly. This should not be happening and we want to know what's going on.

My Ultrawave have been living mostly in it's box recently as I've been doing renos, but I took it out today to try and doing some testing.

Using the desktop version of Neuro (Win 3.0.20), I loaded an Ultrawave Bass patch - the factory "CLASSIC OVERDRIVE" one. I've got two issues:
- when I select the slot the patch is in (alt square), I have to adjust a knob to have sound - if I don't the pedal doesn't pass anything. This is different from all the factory patches.
- the patch is noisy - if I strum an open E and let it decay, the amount of noise goes up as the sound decays (substantially). When I mute the string the pedal is dead quiet and stays quiet when I remove my hands from the bass.

Anyone have anything similar?

Before you "burn" factory preset to your pedal, make level and drive adjustments to satisfied level. Default setting for knob positions is "off (default) = preset" which means no matter how your pedal knobs are set, values are coming from the saved preset during change. Probably factory preset level is 0, but of course preset jumps into actual value once you touch the knob, but during next change it will be again 0.

I use "WYSIWYG" for settings so when switching between presets pedal will read knob position during the preset change. This doesn't work well when you have knobs doing different tasks between presets, like drive controlling drive in one preset and compressor threshold in another preset. In my case I use only one sound and this is not the problem.

By the way, if you like some of the factory presets, save them to your Neuro app to adjust and save changes.

The factory preset level is not 0 on this preset:
