Some crazy almost sound design application of the Artifakt and C4 for the upright bass from a totally improvised jam . This is not for everybody and in some ways is jazz funsiion PUNKified . Recorded live with just a zoom H6

I have been using the C4 on the upright and various SA effects

Sometimes I also use the vintage radio patch to intentionally remove the low end

Ive got a mutron preset from the spectrum (I think a default patch) on the first green patch. When ever I turn the pedal on, when go to that 1st patch, its not the the Tron patch but some slow swell sythn patch (dont even know which one)
I hit the pedal switch a few times move to the red banks, come back to patch 1 and it is now Tron.
I can't seem to get rid of the swell patch when I turn it off and back on.
Through Neuro desktop Ive deleted tron out of patch 1, added it back in, save it, and the pedal still does the same thing.
Hopefully I've explained it well enough. Anyone have the same issue?

I‘ve has the same issue and the only way to resolve it was to revert back to an older firmware (1.21). Maybe there’s been newer firmware that deals with this, but I haven’t checked in a while. Since you‘re experiencing this problem now, probably not.

Also: Using the old firmware didn’t negatively impact use of the pedal, although the Neuro app constantly tells me to update when I connect it.

  • TPR St Peter Fuzz-
  • Classic Octaver
  • Nice Chorus Fretless BT
Some notes on the presets if it helps.

Tron (Mutron preset) is the only Envelope Filter I need. Best Ive ever had.
St Peter Fuzz - i messed around with parameters on computer (didnt really know what I was doing). But came up with a sound I and bandmates loved. It was me searching for an appropriate sound for TheWeeknds Blinding Lights. Love it!!
Classic Octaver. Has killed my desire for an octave pedal. Im no octaver expert but works awesome.
As the preset says .. the chorus is nice.

2-4 are from the community. First thing I do with a community preset is put input vol way up. I play fairly lightly through a Passive P bass so they never sound good out the gate. From memory I didnt have to change much other than that except St Peter Fuzz who knows what I did to that haha.

If I just used the spectrum or C4 just for Tron and Classic Octaver... it would be worth it :)

Thanks! Are those the actual C4 preset names? I’ve yet to start using SA pedals (bought the Ultrawave but haven’t unboxed it yet, haven’t yet bought the C4) but a big problem I’ve found with the Neuro app is the search function is broken (owner is aware, hopefully they’ll fix soon?). When I search for the presets you mention using those exact titles and filtering for the C4 I get nothing. Some of them show up for the Spectrum but not for the C4.

Yes they are the preset name in the Nero online community. I found them through the Mac app. Have never used phone. I searched them before I posted as well to make sure. They are all Spectrum pre sets. Spectrum patches work on C4 but not vice versa. If they arent coming up, try searching on one word like "Octaver" and narrow down to Spectrum.

Ah, I didn’t know that. Now it makes sense. Thanks!!! Are all Spectrum presets compatible with the C4? Because if I search for “octave” for C4 and select the “Show compatible pedals presets” option I only get 7 Spectrum results. But if I search for “octave” for the Spectrum I get 20 results. ???

All Spectrum presets work on the C4. There is a web search option I shared before that is another effective way to find things. Please note that Neuro is not Google. We don't have $ billions in ad revenues or monthly subscriptions to pay for product development. It is a high end engineering tool that we are trying to make as best we can.

Hi! I need some help with something.
I've recently bought a SA Ultrawave Bass. I instaled the Neuro 3 app in my computer and connected to the pedal.
I then went through the community library to check some presets to experiment with the pedal but I couldn't save them to the pedal. I tried several times and I simply couldn't do it.
Then I bought an usb-c adaptor for the delivered cable and tried to connect my Android phone to the pedal. I turned on the OTG on the phone and it simply didn't work with this pedal. I checked the version when I connected before with the computer and it stated that it was updated to the newest version.
So... what am I doing wrong here?

P.S.: By the way, can someone update my club entry? I'm #204 and my current SA pedals are Soundblox 2 Multiwave Bass Distortion, C4, Spectrum, Atlas, EQ2, Aftershock, Artifakt and Ultrawave Bass.

Hi all,
I’m wondering if someone is able to assist me. I’m using a Source Audio MIDI Adapter with my True Spring. I can get the True Spring to respond to CC commands, but not PC. I’ve been testing by sending PC 3, but the control light never blinks. My True Spring has the most recent firmware.

FWIW, I've tested this with an LA Lady, and it receives PC's 0-5, where the PC is 1 number lower than the target. i.e., 0=1, 1=2, 2=3, etc.

There was some confusion about which presets on the LA Lady were WYSIWYG with knobs, and which over-rode the knobs. Not sure if that's the case for the TrueSpring, or where that device falls in the timeline/evolution of one-series pedals.

Yeah, I’m aware of that on the older pedals. In my case, it’s just not responding to PC commands at all. I believe True Spring has 6 preset slots on the pedal alone and that’s what I’ve been trying to test against.

When recalling with the midi adapter, it works like it does when recalling presets in the neuro app where it does ignore the knobs and recalls them as 6 real presets and not just 3 and 3 wysiwyg. I do believe that 0, 1, and 2 are red presets, and 3, 4, and 5 are green presets.
