Source Audio Spectrum Inteligent Filter!!!

I've been enjoying my Spectrum which I just bought a few days ago - it's great to have the options of "talking" sounds, octaves, gated fuzz and running the Mutron in Down mode. However I haven't quite nailed the standard Up response I'm looking for. Up to now I've been using a Mooer Envelope which responds absolutely perfectly for me - with Decay set to minimum, from a very closed bassy attack it immediately opens to whatever Q and LPF are set to, and then closes so quickly that I can pick pretty much as fast as I like - a sort of "wab wab" envelope which is VERY Garcia (I play guitar as well as bass). The Mooer's limits are that it only has one sound and it overdrives a little so it's not clean, but I love that response. The Spectrum seems to only be able to open a too-long moment after the attack, or open too sharply to too much treble, or close too slowly, and I've been fiddling with it for hours trying to get what I want. Can anyone help?

Some of the C4 presets work on the spectrum for sure.

One more question - I notice there are only 4 presets for the Spectrum in "Factory". Where are the other two factory presets stored? It's a bit of a faff if I have to Factory Reset to get them back.

If anyone wants to know how to set up sidechaining, the Source Audio person on Instagram just told me:
Set "Processor 1 - Filtering" to Env/LFO 1".
Set "Envelope 1" to "Audio Input 2".
Plug your wet (effected) signal into Input 1 and your dry signal into Input 2.
The dynamics of the dry signal will be used as the envelope for your wet sound.

OK I have another question: there are 3 control modes, but they are described in different ways in different places (mobile app, computer app & manual) with 5 different names: WYSWIG Mode, Off (Default Mode), Preset (Default) Mode, Preset Mode & Control Mode. Which one is actually which?

Does anyone know if the Drive on the Spectrum can be used as a stand alone OD preset? I’ve got a Spectrum incoming, and I’m hoping it will be my all-in-one FX processor. I know the filters and the Octavers will fit my needs, just wondering if anyone has OD presets that work?

Does anyone know if the Drive on the Spectrum can be used as a stand alone OD preset? I’ve got a Spectrum incoming, and I’m hoping it will be my all-in-one FX processor. I know the filters and the Octavers will fit my needs, just wondering if anyone has OD presets that work?

It can be done but it is not so easy to get a nice standard overdrive sound. I wouldn’t sell my overdrive pedal for it.

I'm considering either an Accountant, which I have owned and loved, or going deeper, and getting the UltraWave. I'm afraid if I do that, then I'll need a Midi switcher of sorts, and then I'll need.....

I didn't get any response to my mail. Half a year ago I did ask a question about a defect adapter and I never got any response either. But I did find my password now! So I am up and running.
The Neuro desktop crashed two times on me in a half hour though. Both times when I was adjusting the ENV/LFO knob. So I guess there must be a bug somewhere. I am using a Mac.

I just fiddled around again with the distortion section and got some good results producing simple stand alone overdrive sounds. The key is to use the mild overdrive and the single clip one. The fuzz sounds can also be quite good. But I wish they would include a normal fuzz also besides the octave fuzz and gated fuzz.

I uploaded three nice overdrive presets to the cloud this morning (name is bodde). You can adjust to your bass and taste from there. Hope you like them! Let me know.
