Source Audio Spectrum Inteligent Filter!!!

Knob question. Might be more of a knoob question.
On some of the filter presets and the editor there are controls listed as knob 1 and knob 2. Is there a spot in the manual where these knobs are listed that pertain to the pedal knobs? I keep twisting knobs to see in the editor which values are changing. Has to be an easier way.

I'm using the diamond bass comp, which I really like. For OD, I could never find an OD that I really liked, but a Wren and Cuff Super Russian with the fuzz turned down and mids to flat gives a very full on-the-edge OD tone.
Doc Lloyd Photon Death Ray. And I’ve owned a lot of compressors. I’m a bit of a comp/filter junkie.
Thanks, I’ve heard good things about the diamond comps. I’ currently using a Markbass compressore. Really nice but big. Lol.
OD- Solidgoldfx Beta MKii. Nice tubey feel and sound. Sounds great before the spectrum as well.
Just sold my fuzz. Solidgoldfx Imperial Fuzz bc183. Was a great sounding fuzz but super strong, overpowered anything I stacked it with at the lowest settings. If I played more heavy stuff ida kept it. Added to much with the filter.
The Spectrum cured the filter itch for me, and I love the PDR. I just need the DMC Micro Pro so Ivan get full use of the Spectrum. For OD I’m going with either the Accountant or an MBD2. I’ve had both, and really liked both. I’m really hoping I can get a nice OD out of the Spectrum, as I don’t use OD that much, and I’m out of board space and money!
A Source Audio UltraWave...it does dirt, it does synth dirt, it does compression, it does expander, it does trem...it does a whole lotta things really, really well.
In the meanwhile I fiddled around again with the distortion section and got some good results producing simple stand alone overdrive sounds. The key is to use the mild overdrive and the single clip one. The fuzz sounds can also be quite good. But I wish they would include a normal fuzz also besides the octave fuzz and gated fuzz.
I uploaded three nice overdrive presets to the cloud two weeks ago or so (name is bodde). You can adjust to your bass and taste from there. Hope you like them! Let me know how these work for you.

All depends on what a user has assigned them to control, they can vary from preset to preset, the default presets on the pedal should have them all assigned to what’s printed on the pedal.
That totally makes sense.
My question is on the desktop app under knob assignment is says Control Knob 1 and Control Knob 2. But there are 4 knobs and 8 possible controls (or more) on the pedal. Which knob is 1 and which is 2. there are no numbers on the pedal knob labels.
The C4 / Spectrum's OD isn't tailored to be used on it's own. You can and it works great, but it's quite boomy and large. There's no tone controls for the Dirt. It's designed for affecting filters and octavers...and it does that spectacularly well. The problem with using a deep pedal like the Spectrum / C4 for just an Overdrive, is that it can be fiddly calling up that patch / accessing it.
In my opinion, keep some effect contained to a single box. Let the spectrum do your filters, octavers etc, let the C4 do it's synth thing and let the Aftershock handle your general dirt needs. It makes pedal live use and pedal tapping a lot easier. It certainly reduces brain ache. The Aftershock has far better stock light overdrive offerings. You can get there with an Ultrawave to, but that needs a bit of tweeking of the UI (and it's pedal that really prefers heavy and wilder settings).

I didn’t know the knob assignment could vary per preset. Is there also a global knob assignment possible? I think it is strange and impractical that they have put the level knob in the alt section. I think that should be one of the main four knobs.
Only the primary settings for Control 1 and Control 2 are changeable / assignable / editable. All the other controls are pre-set and set in stone. The Spectrum has "alt" settings for Control 1 & 2 (but these aren't changeable), the C4 doesn't have these at all. Control 1 & 2 only do what's selected for them in the UI. It's the only area that the Spectrum is superior (other than the nicer purple finish). There's a lot of guys using both the C4 and Spectrum. Letting the Spectrum handle the dedicated filters and Octavers and letting the C4 handle the synth layers. For me, at the moment my SA path is C4 / Aftershock / UltraWave / Lunar / Eq2...but I can see the virtue of having a dedicated filter layer, which would free up some of the patches on my C4...which is nearly maxxed out.
