Any plans to update the eq's midi capabilities?, would this be very difficult or could it be upgraded for the next batch? If so would there be any other design changes worth considering that could be implemented simply (such as whether presets are changed via holding foot-switch or one click to change then hold to bypass as an option)?

4 presets aught to be enough for most people, but then there are some people...

I've yet to pull the plug on any SA products, but have been gassing for the prog eq for years (money :() and will be grabbing that, an ofd, or an orbital very very soon. Just need to make that decision.

Jesse is really special. I am so happy you got to see this. Bob Chidlaw often gets all the spotlight due to the tones, but the Hub gives insight into Jesse's vision.

And I thought the SA synth pedal thread was bad. You guys took the whole concept up a another level!!

I just made an offer to hire another engineer and he has accepted. He has been playing guitar in our booth on the stage at every NAMM since day one. Totally gets our thing. Huge new strategic addition to the company. Like me and Jesse, he is an Analog Devices veteran. I think this can only mean more good new products to come!

I'm very excited about things to come for you SA guys. In all honesty, I was intrigued by you guys when I first heard of your pedals over a year ago but didn't give a serious thought because I was distracted by whatever I was distracted by. I def have my favorites but I have to say that since I've picked up the manta and orbital, I can now say SA is one of my favorites. You guys are really coming out with some great stuff and I can't wait to see what the future brings for y'all. My OFD should Monday so I'm stoked about that. From everyone keeps saying, it sounds like it may replace a dirt pedal or two on my board. Keep up the great work!!

So, you probably don't need my advice, but I would say that the things I'm really interested in from Source Audio are those things that no one else is doing. I think the Hot Hand, Manta, and Multiwave Distortion are all truly unique products (I own the first two). These three products, I think, really bring sounds that almost no other products on the market can---the paradigm shattering of expression with the HH3, the integrated distortion of the Manta, and the unique sounds of the MWD. Which is not to dismiss the sounds of the Dimension, Orbital, or OFDs (and whatever else I'm missing), which I'm sure are great products (the OFDs and to a lesser extent the Orbital tempt me even though I mostly have dirt and modulation already well covered on my board).

All of that is to say, that's why I pushed my ideas earlier of a great synth and a great polyphonic pitchshifter. These are two products that only have a few variations out there on the market, and all of the existing products are limited or flawed in some way. That's why I would really like to see Source Audio take on these products, and those would be the products I would want to see ANY company take on. While I'm sure Source Audio could do great things with a delay, does the world need another delay? Every time I see a new delay on the market, I can't help but wonder what it provides that isn't already out there. To a lesser extent, it's the same thing with preamp modelers or some of the other ideas proposed in this thread. We already have more choices on the market than we need for these types of pedals. Source Audio could do what it does best and make a unit with unprecedented flexibility in these areas, but why not be even MORE unique and truly innovate with categories of effects that are not heavily represented in the market?

Despite the existence of this thread, there's a certain amount of arrogance (that's probably the wrong word, since it's all hopeful and well-intentioned!) for any of us to tell Source Audio what products they should make. It would be even more arrogant for anyone to try to tell them how to run their company...but I'm going to do it anyway. :D I would say, be unique. Keep innovating. The guys in the company may have analog backgrounds, but you've clearly embraced digital, so you should continue to do the things that no one else can do with the architectures that you have created.

Just my $0.02, subject to serious inflation...

IMO, there's no reason that they can't do both (i.e. keep being innovative, and keep the more traditional analog guys happy too).

SA's OFD, Manta and Orbiter are the first digital pedals that i've ever owned or played thru that don't 'feel' digital when you use them and that's actually what impresses me the most about them.

Well, sure...I don't mean to sell them short. Pursuing both goals isn't necessarily mutually exclusive. But resources are always limited. So if it came down to it, I would rather see them pursue goals of tackling difficult effects that have weak representation on the market, rather than giving us another delay.

I agree with you about delay pedals. IMO, there's not much else to offer in that market since it's pretty well saturated with excellent ones already out there, but IMO, with SA's talent and unique ability to make great non-digital sounding, digital pedals, IMO, an SB2 multi-voiced preamp would be an awesome addition and I think would do very well for them. also IMO, a really good bass synth/octaver would probably be another one.

I got one of their SB2 dimension reverbs yesterday and I much prefer it over my TC hall of fame.

I actually saved that pic john K posted of the fantasy preamp. That is one good looking pedal. I need one of those "take my money please!!" posts haha. Every last one of those preamps are ones I've wanted to try, some I have, but others, I haven't. I know it's still a dream, but I'll sit and dream while you SA boys work.
