I used to have a Line6 M13 which was a really great multi-effects pedal board but I found myself barely using it so I sold it. It has every effect known to man on it but once I got past the initial stage of trying everything out, I just didn't really use it enough to justify the purchase.

I just bought a Line6 Bass POD XT from the classified section here and that is a fun little device. It has a bunch of effects on it and also does amp modeling which is really neat as well. I just got it though so I haven't had much time to play with it yet.

I agree, not that I move it around every week, but I am not going backpacking with the thing on my back every weekend, and that's why there's people who will help you move it. It's heavy yes, it's huge, but it takes no time for 2 people to move it and is it worth the thundering sound?? OH YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I told my drummer that he's been designated as my amp mover helper :D

LOVE PEDALS!!! Spector sounds amazing on its own yes, but when I want to colour the sound and give it another dimension... I use some pedals ;) Being in a trio, sometimes the song needs an extra UMFFF. It really does make it colourful.

My setup goes:

Bass --> Volume pedal -->Tuner --> XXL Distortion --> Voodo Tremolo --> MXR Envelope Filter --> Boss Flanger -->MXR Carbon Copy Delay --> MXR M80 Bass DI --> Amp.

I am curious about this as well. There is a place by me that carries some of the Orange stuff but the last time i went, none of it was hooked up so i was bummed. Man, that stuff was expensive though so I really want to try it out more.

You are a Tool fan and don't have a Digitech Bass Whammy? Actually, the Line6 M13 I had was really good at re-creating the original Bass Whammy since there is a setting that Justin Chancellor uses that isn't on the newer Whammy pedals. Since the M13 was totally customizable, it allowed me to get that setting so for anyone looking for that, an M9/M13 can do it no problem with an expression pedal.

I use a buttload of effects but right now for gigging I just have a big muff for fuzz, and for a great analog sounding organ I use a Micro POG with both octaves, a Bad Monkey for overdrive, and Line 6 Roto-Filter for the leslie speaker effect. I have tons of others but thats all I need for gigs right now.

:D:D I am indeed a fan, but I am not trying to emulate his sound. Though I wouldn't mind having a few more pedals at my disposal, my pedalboard is full and I can't think of anything else that I might want to use at the moment.....Never tried the Whammy, now I am tempted :P

Can you imagine running a Spector through his rig??:eek::eek::eyebrow::eyebrow::hiding:

You gave me a lil' bit of a rush when you said NS-2C...its in great condition and has EMG's and apparently some kind of preamp from the looks of the control config. I was hoping it would have the stock passive pickups.
Thanks for the heads up. Someone will pick this up pretty cheap Im sure, and have a killer bolt-on Spector. :bassist:

I would like to see what's in the control cavity . I actually thought they may have put a dummy knob where the switch was .. Let's see if they will send some more pictures .

I've been contemplating on buying an Orange 12" combo amp for traveling and practice once in a while. Anyone use their combos?

I'm really stuck on liking Ampeg's though.

Way easier than a 4x10 unless you have stairs. The handle ,casters and slide rails make it a breeze actually. I may add more casters to mine to make it easier to move in tight spaces once its upright. Stairs are bad though.

Its easier to move a fridge (8x10) up/down stairs than a console TV (4x10). you can stop and rest halfway with a fridge. You can't put the TV down halfway down the stairs. IME. :D
