you are so lucky. I was going to go later this month when they came by my neck of the woods, I was on ticket master and everything, and the tickets sold out ridiculously fast

Is the Aguilar® OBP-3 electronics easy to put in place of the tone pump on the Eruo? And if so, is it worth it?
Which version of OBP-3, I believe there is a stacked version for the mids and bass? Or volume/blend?
Hello I'm new here, and I need your help in figuring out why my spector legend 5 custom model emits a poorly sound when I'm recording a bass track. I am using an M-Box processor by digidesing with the pro tools program, and for some reason my bass doesnt sound as good as when I plug it and play it through my Ampeg SVT-350H and my Ampeg SVT-610HLF. After that I switched the spector and plugged in the M-Box my fender jazz bass highway one model, and it sounded fantastic.
Like they say; a great instrument is one that sounds great at raw without altering its EQ. Personally, I prefer active over passive bass sound for my style, and that spector bass gives me that sound and I dont change it for anything the world. But Im frustrated that my fender sounds better in recording than my spector. Is there something wrong with my recording gear or with my bass?

Hey guys, I was wondering.....how come the 18v Tonepump in the USA Spectors come in only a three knob configuration? I suppose it's not that big of a deal, but I want to put one in my Legend, but I don't want to have an empty hole on the bass...

I was referring to the OBP-3 I see in use in the USA bolt ons. There are four pots that should replace the four in the Euro. I suppose you'd lose the single/dual coil switching. Or would you? Maybe keep the separate volume pots with the switching and use the OBP-3 tone controls?

Last night we had our best rehearsal to date! Everything just worked and clicked perfectly! The drummer was on point and a lot revolved around his precision.
We even had a small "audience" for the first time!
Even through our room where we practice sounds crap, I'll tell you, the sounds I am getting from my gear is simply insane.
Not to get back into the whole Spector / Ampeg thing, but WOW it really is an amazing combination!!! I messed with the EQ a bit more and after the first song the guitar player came closer and with a smile on his face said "Dude, that sounds sick!"
It's actually an 18v USA circuit made by Hazlab if I am not mistaken. The bass and treble controls are on a stacked knob.
You can have the OBP-3 wired up a bunch of different ways. If the bass has 2 TW pickups in it, it will have separate volume knobs for each pickup that pull up for single coil mode. If you use EMG DC's, or have 1 TW and 1 J pickup, it is usually setup with 1 volume knob and a separate blend knob. This place sells them pre-wired:

No worries, but I'll give some insight on the Mesa PH series.
Although I haven't played anything Genz Benz, I've really loved my Powerhouse 412, and really don't think you could go wrong either way. The low end response you can get from these cabs is ridiculous. I can lay in bed with my bass and feel the low's through my mattress
Although the Mesa has NEO speakers, it's still a very heavy cab for what it is, I believe it is somewhere right around 100 lbs, which for some people may or may not be a problem. Trust me, these Mesa cabs are growl monsters. My Mesa cab LOVES my non trim pot Tonepump, and I'll definitely post again about it after I get my trim pot Tonepump in hopefully late next week.
Are you opposed to ordering in a new cab? Mesa will make you either an 8 or 4 ohm version of the cab if you buy new from them, or sometimes used Ph212 cabs pop up used for -$500. Here is a picture of the back panel on my PH412, should be the same on the 212. I played around with the crossover settings and found that I like it set on the bright setting on, and the horn all the way off. I found that with most cabs (including my Neo 212 Avatar) the horn just adds too much clank with my Spector, but if I leave the horn off and send the highs to the speakers instead, the cab sounds great overall.

The 18v is what I had in my ns4 . It to me sounds more like an EMG preamp .
Jps did a fine job of describing this in the last thread .
JPS mentioned it on here once a few months ago. The parts to make the 9v Hazlab circuit are not as common and are more difficult to get which is why the 9v circuit costs more. It used to be $499 so $349 doesn't sound so bad now does it?
