HOLY S**T HOLY S**T HOLY S**T!!!!!!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Very Cool!

Thank you :)

Not sure when, but apparently it'll be done VERY soon as it's an oil finish (according to Lima:D ):hyper::hyper::hyper:

I know the gloss finishes take a while to complete, the Oil finish should be fairly quick and that looks just about done, Frets, Inlays are all in already. :hyper:

Just need to add the bridge, PUPs and Oil Finish and someone will be playing a NS-2. :bassist: :hyper:

P.S.
Please Don't leave the Forte Club :crying: ;)

You seem excited....do we know specifics, or are we waiting until it crosses the border to you?

Okay, my bad, didn't see the pics because they are blocked here at school, sorry...

I will not be crossing that Canadian border anytime soon, the last time I was in Canada I was DEPORTED!!:confused::confused::confused:

I was filling in for 2 weeks with a country band years ago, like the mid 90's. (Had my NS-2A and my SVT with 2 8-10 cabinets with, a little overkill.)We were playing 2 weeks, the first week in Winnipeg, the second week in Thunder Bay. Without telling us, the leader of the band only got us all one week clearance to work in Canada when we went over the border. The Saturday of week 2 in Thunder Bay, the Border Patrol came and got us and deported us for working as illegal aliens. The band leader paid a fine for all of us, then we went and played the last night...It was awesome...

at least at school here when they do the little "Betcha didn't know this about_____" game at the beginning of the year, no one ever guesses I was "Deported from a country for working as an illegal alien".

I don't think you are going to find many people that have used them. If I remember correctly, they are over $100 a set.

I just got some contact info from JPS, I don't mind paying for strings if they are really worth it. If anything, I'd like to try them to satisfy my curiosity. I had LaBella flats on an older six string I had, they costs almost $100 bucks too, but they were awesome strings!!

 That's an awesome story! :D:D:D
Wow, Winnipeg and and Thunder Bay...EEEK. You should have played Vancouver ;) I always say that anything East of the Rockies here is a waste of time. Well, the Maritime Provinces are nice too. But the flat piece of cardboard that is Calgary to Ontario is SOOOO BORING! :D

You definitely are correct there stjohn. Just in this thread alone, a bunch of Spectors have been bought over the past few months and it's only going to get better. People will start getting their tax returns very soon and we all know what that means.....more Spector's. I will definitely be one of those people :)

I came sooo close today to buying a gorgeous Legend 5 custom with J pup at neck M pup at bridge $299.99! I used great restraint!!!:crying:

I swapped out the EMG pickups for pickups made by SGD. The EMG-Hz's sounded ok, but these are more of a big fat passive p-bass sounding pickup than full range humbuckers. When i got it it was gutted, but I had a set of Hzs lying around, i assume they are all the same.

I haven't put up any pictures of my NS-2A that i got from TimWilson not too long ago and i think it is time. Its seen its share of wear on it, but it is an incredible bass!!! From PJ, it has USA style inlays, USA hardware, upgrade EMG pickups, and a 9 volt USA circuit. I figured this is probably as close to an NS-2 that i will get without dropping the BIG BUCKS on a real NS-2. I'll probably get it refinished black again in the future sometime when i get some money saved up. Hope you guys enjoy this pics!

From an email i just got from PJ confirming:

thanks for the pics. a dressed up NS-2A....NS-2 style!

yes that looks like a USA 9v circuit in there.
