The OBP-3 can be wired any way you want. It doesn't come with a blend pot, you provide the volume pots. So it's up to you. Don't want a blend pot? Don't buy one...buy two volume pots.

I found an old track from last year in ProTools where I recorded my former 1987 Pedulla MVP.
I just recorded the Forte playing the same clip.
This is the Definition of No Growl vs Growl.
Please note I am not saying anything negative about Pedulla, just listen for yourself.

Quick question for you... I used to own an NS2A many moons ago (Kramer years) and have moved around other things since, currently playing a Dingwall ABZ5 and a Yamaha Attitude Ltd II.
Today I found a second hand ReBop 4 string in a local store, which played really well, had a pretty good (if obviously used) finish, and was for sale for £349 (approx $540).
Only problem was the tone. The strings were deader than a victim in a CSI mortuary scene, and nothing I did with tone on the bass or amp seemed to make much difference.
I guess my question is, was it just the strings or are the pickups and tone controls on the ReBops a bit iffy? And is this a good price for a ReBop?

ReBops in general have a bit of shall I say different tone.
But if it was a ReBop with a Tonepump it should have been
Vol-Vol-Bass-Treble
Some older ReBops had a non-trim Tonepump which could sometimes have a REALLY HOT output. From my time being on Talkbass I remember seeing 2 people who got ReBops and because the non trim Tonepump was so hot they couldnt even figure out which knob was which on the bass when they first got it. (This is because the Bass and Treble pots on the Tonepump are boost only and the boost on the non-trim Tonepump is so strong it almost seemed like a volume increase)
All that being said, combine that issue with dead strings
does this seem like what may have been the situation with the one you tried out?
$540 US is a very good price if the condition was good. Did it have the large crown inlays or dots? What type of finish was on it? This will help with identifying the aprox year of the bass and if it did or didnt have the trim or non-trim TonePump.

Yep...when changing string diameters, you might not need to adjust trussrod. Maybe only need to change string height by adjusting the bridge saddle height. Give that a try first if needed. It has worked for me in the past.

One of our club members used to have a NS-4 or 5 holoflash that ended up on GC's used bass site last couple of months. Didn't see it today though. Spector also makes the Rex holoflash. I almost bought one a year ago from Link Removed
Worshiprocker is right. The BQC has a sweepable mids selection ability along with the 3-band boost/cut.
The version in the old Legend Customs has a stacked bass/treble pot and a mid pot along with two volume pots. No mid-sweep. Not that the full on BQC wouldn't be good in a Spector, I just don't think I would use the mid sweep much, so why pay for it?
Ya know...me too!!! When I first got the Forte 4 I didn't know if I would like a blend or not...I do I do I do! That way you only need to adjust one master vol. pot instead of two.
was hopin i didnt have to start a new thread on identifing preamps. i purchased a used spector legend custom 4 today, not to happy with the sound. there are many threads on this, but i dont know which preamp i have? ill put up pics. any help would be awesome.

I had a ReBop 5 DLX with crown inlays and it was a tone & loud monster. I had to run my volumes at 25%. At that time I didn't know about the adjustment screw on the TP. But like LimaGuy said, they have a tone of their own due to partly the Alder wood the body's made of. A lot on here love the ReBop! It's according to what Genre' you like to play I'd say...me, I play mainly CCM. That's a great price if it's in great condition!
