Okay, I'm not superstitious, but I have to tell you guys about this, it's just too weird.
I love love love my NS-4, it's perfect, but as my wife told me last night "its not perfect enough because it's only one bass. The perfect Spector is many Spectors." She's pretty smart....
Anyway, I miss having a 6 string. I have for a while been thinking about a 6 string Spector. Last fall I asked JPS and PJ about the possibility of making a 6 string Forte, because I wanted a USA but was short on cash for the NS-6XL and short on patience.
I e-mailed PJ last fall about it and contacted my dealer in Minnesota and was going to put my deposit down on a Friday. Friday afternoon I felt awful and ended up in the emergency room with pneumonia on Saturday and spent 2 weeks in the hospital, so the Forte went on the back burner.
I have been fine ever since, I am on maintenance drugs after having leukemia last year, they can drop my immune system and my "numbers" (White blood cells, other stuff). The doctor has been adjusting my dosages to make sure they don't drop and they have been fine ever since.
Last week I contacted PJ about the Forte on Tuesday, then my dealer on Thursday and was going to do my deposit on Friday. Friday morning my dad got diagnosed with a weird and rare disease, my Spector dealer who is also a good friend and Spector player went to the emergency room Friday and was in the hospital all weekend with a herniated disc in his back and Friday after school all my "numbers" dropped (I'm fine, just need antibiotics to make sure I don't get sick and shots every day to rebuild my white blood cells). My 7 year old Zian also got kicked in the mouth accidentally by my little girl and lost a tooth.
I'm not superstitious, but I think something is telling me to hold out for the NS-6XL....
Its all from my "Heart" pardon the pun.
Maybe one day there will be a Spector Limaguy model![]()

Got our first show back coming up on Sun. Should have some video at least, get to see my ugly mug and hopefully hear the Spector doing the damage! First time back onstage for me in years.... gettin psyched!!![]()

Not Spector related at all...BUT thought I'd share.
I took my N.C.E. (National Counselor Exam) today which is what I have to take and pass to be able to practice as a therapist and I PASSED! I said that I would be happy with the lowest score possible but I actually did very well on it and feel great right now!

Thanks very much grendle.
Good to know about the Used Euro suggestion.
Primarily looking for a bass with some more oomph in it than my Warmoth, which i believe a Active could grant me.
Not that my warmoth isn't amazing but you know the difference between passive and active.
But i'm not confident to spend the cash on a warmoth if im not definate i would cherish it forever.
Ill definately keep an eye out for a Euro. They dont come in the holoflash i liked on the Classic 4, but maybe thats a bit too flashy even for mebut do like some of the other paint choices.
But at the moment i can't decide between saving for a Active bass of some kind, or for going to a Head/Cab set up from a combo. Im guessing the latter is more beneficial in the long run, but the former has got me bad on GAS![]()

Dang I should have!
I was at Disney for most of the day. After that...I was pretty much worthless. My kids wore me slap out! I'll hit you up for sure next time though.
Thanks very much grendle.

Need advice. How much shall I expect to pay for a Japan made NS 2J with badass bridge?
grendle said:4-600$ I would say.
Nicksun said:Thanks grendle, the guy asks for us$2000. Maybe too much then...

[/QUOTE]Were playing Sun. At the abbey. In Orlando. 100 s. Eola. Were filling in for a promoter. Not sure what the other bands are like but I believe were the heaviest. Doors are at 5:30-6. We go on at 8-830. If you want to come give them promo code Cover079 at the door. 8$with the code. 12 without. Really excited, should be a great show. First time in stage in a long time lol. It would be great to meet ya.
