Worked on a quick mix this morning. Trying a different mix with this track. It's pretty short, but it is all i had time for. Hope you guys dig it!

I have a session tomorrow....to give you all some ideas of where my basses have been already;

My black NS has now been on a Delta Blues/Zydeco project and a singer/songwriter record-both are going to be released shortly into iTunes...

the ReBop is finding its way onto a session tomorrow and I will have the WimBass along for the ride....

I have a prog rock epic to track and a couple of heavy tunes I am hitting for a friend...
There's more....

Youre gonna love tracking those heavier tunes with your Spector. I love my Spector in standard, but I love it in drop D or C even more. Just has the awesome tone that cuts through perfectly!

I do a lot of studio stuff and more live stuff is coming...I go all over the place...

I've not done studio playing yet but hopefully soon. I had lunch with Daniel Bowman a couple of weeks ago to have our official meet and greet...and he wants to get going on a special project that I'll be playing background music for a video series that he's been working on. Sounds like fun! Any and all advice will be appreciated about studio playing.

Hey guys what type/gauge strings do you use when you tune down. I have a Legend 5 strung with roto 66's and my B sounds too floppy just tuned down a 1/2 step. I think the string is around a .135 I might try my Circle K set with a .150 B string but would have to file the slot on my nut. I'm not sure I want to do that yet. Any suggestions?

I use the medium/light D'addario nickels currently (.135 on the low B). I was playing along to some protest the hero lines (all tuned down a half step) and it didn't feel like a whole lot of tension was lost. Maybe a small bit, but not a whole lot. Low Bb sounded and felt just fine. Obviously, YMMV.

Dean Markley's 45-105
I don't put any other strings on my Spectors.

I've tuned down to drop A with this gauge, but normally i'm just in drop C.

I am using D'Addario nickel strings with a .145 B string and the tension is perfect when I tune my Rebop down to A. My E string is a .110 and can tune down to C without an issue either but normally keep the bass tuned a full step down at ADGCF.

I have the NS2000B (single pickup version) and I paid $100 at Guitar Center.....
You could get a newer Performer or maybe even a Legend for $275....

Edit: GC has a black Performer for $150: Item: 107538550

Thanks for the info. I called and made the guy an offer (and not for his asking price) and he's going to call the owner and let me know. We'll see what happens.
