Well Fate has decided... I am a Spector owner. My Black Cherry Euro 4LX is staying. I had a few offers from some of the guys here on TB but nothing that made me want to part with it. The one that really got me though was from a guy that said" You know you're CRAZY trying to sell it, there is nothing better out there." Nice huh!

Finally received my NS-4HM, thought I'd show her off. I had a NS back in the day but this far exceeded my expectations! Put on some Lo-Riders and wow sounds awesome!

With my Legend 4...the pre is a TonePump Jr. , to get a good Spector growl I set to neck pup 100%, bridge 50%, bass boost 100%, treble boost 25%. Oh yeah...and I replace the nut with a brass nut. Gives more bite & clearness. GHS precision SS FW strings.

cool, ice. mine was one from 04-06 models and has the emg pre i believe. i put mids about middle, bass 75%, treb 50% even p/u and vol about 75%-100% depending on if im playing with a pick or my fingers. hey bud, where did you get the brass nut for it?

good job brent. dont sell it. you'll regret it later like i do with my ns-95. but maybe one day i'll get something to replace it, which means more money for me to spend.

Make sure to post the results or better yet, sound clips! I've been thinking about upgrading my Rex5 with a Tonepump and some active EMGs when I can afford it. I was actually thinking about trying dual 40P5s.

Dual P would be awesome! I might have to...

I'll get clips for sure... Wish I had some Hz so I could do a "stock" comparison

i found another tune i found playing my legend. this one is heavy also. it was recorded during a practice we had so please excuse the sloppiness. but i think my legend sounds fat and meaty.

Downloaded it the other day and just listened to it minutes ago.

Really enjoyed it.

Reminiscent of "Lamb of God"... one of my metal favorites!

Yeah it is really simple....people just think it's hard....you just have to know your scales/modes that's all

Yeah its wierd till you get the hang of it . Usually only need to know a few things and then you can get real creative. Always gotta run through the "change" though lol. That's when the interesting things happen lol

there are a number of people out here in AZ that use the Nashville numbering system also.... it makes it easy to yell out the next chord in a live situation.... lol "4!, its 1, 4, 5!!!"

Huh, I've been using that in all the blues bands I've been in over the years. Who knew. Comes in handy in open mic jam situations when the chord progression isn't standard.
