Man Donny you got a cool stance for sure. I love the low slung Spector. I just can't look that cool with my bass at my belly button.....damn it.
LMBO!!! :D
Thanks, Jeff, yes it's black stain euro 35" scale, "long arm":)
Sweet!
I am going to have to try an Ian Hill bass...
+1
I have a White one coming in 2 months...might play it for a week and not like it for some reason and say..3 White Spector basses?? to much for me and sell it or one of my white ns2a's...who knows..:bassist:
Put me down for dibs on one of your white NS-2A okay?!?! I'd love to have another one and especially in White!

This thread is the worst thing ever for a person's bank account...a little knowledge is a dangerous thing indeed.
I am SO curious about the Alex Webster sig model; has anyone played it, and is there a major difference in the feel vs. a Euro 5?
I have the distinct feeling that I have as much chance of finding one of these at a dealer's location as I do of finding a unicorn there to sell it to me.

I was going to say "and Cue Huggy Bear" but John already posted where you can find one.

I would like to officially announce that Mr. Deluca
will be in charge of Spector Pimpin' as my Underboss
when I am recovering from my cath procedure tomorrow.

John = SSP = Substitue Spector Pimp. Best of luck tomorrow Sam, all of our thoughts will be with you and we will all be waiting to hear how you are.

Hahaha, but I could never even come close to you Sam. I would be more like "do you really need that 7th Spector?" :)

Like the saying goes John "Pimpin ain't easy".

I think I ordered it before my second white one not sure...but 3 white basses???...I think 2 is enough...why do I always get myself in these pickles!!, haha...now I want one that looks like the one Donny just got. :bassist:
That is a very beautiful natural!

I make a motion we change Sam's user name to Huggie Bear, the pimp from Starsky and Hutch,

Because Sam is straight up the biggest Spector pimp ever!!
LMBO!!!

Sam encouraged me to go after the Forte-4 that I landed. After the Forte there is no going back... S.A.S. at full swing.
A NS-2 white on black stain with high gloss would be really sick!!!:bassist:

I think I just wet myself a lil bit...;)

Ok , so I posted about the vintage 810 I got . Yesterday I ran up to a friends store and got a GK 400rb . Moved a few speakers around in the cab and disconnected the two blown ones . I loaded it up an giged it last night . Got a ton I compliments on it . Really ready to buy two more speakers . The 400rb is the loudest 200 watts you will ever hear !!! Played some stp and aic and the tone is incredible .

I love me some gk tone... Been thinking of getting a 400rb to leave at my practice pad

Glad you like it! So where you running a 6x10?

That's awesome J-Rod! I can't wait to "roll" my SVT 810e out for a gig and crank it up for the first time! Haha! I'm too afraid of shattering my windows in our house. Lol

I am confused on which one though...the ns2a is going to give me like what $500?...i don't know about the Ian Hill, I don't know how much of the $1900 i am going to loose...maybe stay with Ian Hill, still not sure. One I have set for half step and its the one without the drop tuner have to stay with that one. :bassist:

Roll it out !!! It has a different sound than the pr410hlf . I did miss some low end when I was dropped D . But nothing that anyone else would have noticed .

So I have been thinking, I LOVE my NS-4 to death, it is by far the nicest bass I have ever had, but ever since I fixed my NS-2A last week and have been playing that at school, I have come to the conclusion that I like the PJ setup both sound wise and how my hand sits on the pick ups. Maybe it is because I played NS-2A's with the PJ setup for like 15 years and it just feels "right".

So this is kind of a feeler, I am not really putting this up for sale officially yet, so I don't have an official thread yet, just wanted to kick the idea around the club a bit.

So what I am looking for is either the right NS-2 to trade or someone who might be interested in buying this from me.

Here's the catch. If someone is into buying it from me, I kind of need it for the next 5 months because I will be ordering a new NS-2....So, always wanted a really awesome American Spector you could make payments on? I am thinking that if someone wanted to, I could take payments for 5 months and when it's paid, send you the bass and hopefully have my new NS-2 about the same time.

The bass is in great shape, built in 2009, plays and sounds great, I would not be broken hearted if I ended up keeping it.
Want the non intonation screw bridge or the one with intonation screws? I have both. The non intonation bridge is on the bass and I have a brand new bridge that has not even been opened with the intonation screws from Spector. Both will come with, and of coarse a hard shell Spector Case.

Again, just want to see if anyone would be into something like this. If you have questions, want to talk price or have any details or a NS-2 you might want to trade for the NS-4, PM me.

If you want a PJ kinda sound, you could try replacing the DCs with EMG 35P and 35J. They're exactly the same as the regular PJ pickups, but in the soapbar style casing. That won't change how your hand sits on the pickups of course, but you could try it to see if it's an improvement on the sound for you. If not, good luck selling the NS-4, it sure is a beauty!
