Jaymi, have you heard the Haz in a NS 2 or in a PJ configuration? I know you have one in the 2J, just cant remember if you have/had one in an NS2.

I'd probably would have already tried Steve's setup if the mid control was boost and not cut (contour).

But, like most, I'll reserve too much judgment until I hear it LIVE with my own two ears.

Yes, I had a Kramer NS2 with a HAZ in it...Video will be made shortly and you can hear it here first...My test will be on a session to see what it does on a live tracking session. That is next on my list...I think the main difference between this setup and the TP (for Donny) is this sound has more breath to it. It can be VERY aggressive with a pick, Steve had to do that one-I don't use picks-the fun part of the whole thing, is I can dial in the Spector growl and I have room to build on it so the bass is like a different color palette than the ones I already have.

The HAZ (especially the OLD one) is my favorite because of the signature sound. This is fun though, it opens up other tonal doors...You will see shortly.....I have to call Donny first ;)

Sweet. Can't wait to see you there. There's always a bunch of USA Spectors to demo and play. And Aguilar always hooks the Spector booth up with a killer demo rig.

that sounds fun. ive been talking to diechris about aguilar and watched some clips on youtube on the tonehammer 500. man the sound of their amps are phenomenal! have fun. wish i could make out to something cool like that to meet you guys. maybe someday ;)

"You're amongst friends Ricky!"

GLWTS man. And I'm glad I've had a positive influence on your gasoline bill :rollno:Seriously though, getting to deliver someone a piece of gear is a cool feeling. You're getting to meet the person whose musical life you're helping build and contribute to. It's a great experience. But I know part of you is sad to see it go. And at that price it'll fly.

Thanks Steve! Yeah, I know this has to be shipped freight because of the size and that would probably be astronomical cost wise. So delivery/pickup is really the only way to go. I'm hoping it flys outta here! :) Like you said, It kills me to sell it but a matter of more importance needs to be taken care of. I'll be retiring either this Aug/Sep so I need to eliminate some debt.

Good to hear!....what do you mean by a Smadder setup?...your own made pre-amp???...:bassist:

No the smadder setup ( as coined by someone else... Maybe chuckles I forget) is the combination of the EMG btc system (vol/bal/stacked bass and treble) and the EMG EXB variable mid cut/treble boost/bass boost knob usually combined with x series EMGs, but it also sounds great with regular EMGs. It runs very hot so you can just keep it at 9v. Plus it's inexpensive and super easy to install as its almost completely solderless

When in October is BPL and where? Do you have to buy tickets ahead or is it free admission? I mentioned to my wife that we'll be in Utah visiting our son, we'll be so close to Cali. why not go to BPL?! She's fine with it! I'd love the opportunity to meet Stuart, PJ, JPS,Jimmy and our Spector family that'll be there! :hyper:
I figure if JPS can drive coast to coast, 6800 miles in 14 days, I can drive from Michigan to Cali. :D !
