One word..."Priceless"! :D

So the very first response I get to the Craigslist postings for "bass player needed" comes from the drummer I played with all through high school (my first band) for almost 5 years.

He's in a bar/club band with a 140ish song library but they also do original stuff, have recently finished their EP and are getting ready to shoot a video later this month for the first single. And guess who they just fired? Yep. the bass player. And guess who he called first? Me.

Timing and karma can be some supremely cool sh!t sometimes, you know?

So he'll email me an audition list, I emailed him the EP of the last band I was in, and we'll see what happens.

Oh and I also just finished sending a similar "announcement" email out to everyone who contributed to Chris via PayPal so I could make sure I hit people who weren't on TB or FB. So I apologize if some of you are getting it for the second or third time.

That's awesome news Steve! I hope it all works out for you! :hyper:
All your goodness that you spread around to everyone is coming back to you repaid! :D

GOOD GOD!!! For a 4x10??!! BTW I was wrong, the QX10B-D is actually 96 pounds. But still... 128 pounds! Ouch. Owwy Owwy Ouchy Ouch Ouch.

Hahaha! But those 56oz. magnets sure belt out the sonic tones brother! The weight was the reason I went with the SVT 810...it only weighs in at 140#, 12# more, and it has 2 large solely wheels, backside skids and a hand truck bar built into it. Much easier on the back to transport. :D

awesome! so i guess she grabbed you when you played her? very nice. you dirty dog! no teasing. :hiding: give us a hint ;)

Another similar white bass.....lol....currently own four Spectors in a short period of time, however the natural rebop gets picked up this week....so then just three....when the red rebop moves I will have two that will quickly multiply to three again....

That is a great thing y'all have done! I'm blown away by the generosity and support of so many in this club.

I must say that stories like this definitely make me want to join up. When UPS makes their delivery today, I should be requesting a number to join. Got a Euro 5LX coming from TBer WilsonMusic that's out for delivery today. :bassist::bassist::hyper: Needless to say, I'm a little stoked to get my grimy mits on it.

Congratulations on that beautiful Euro-5lx! We'll be glad to have you in our family, welcome! :D

We did some horse trading.....he brought it down for me to use for my AIC tribute show Saturday.....btw....Lee is a great guy and his wife was way cool too!

Wait til you see what else is coming......lol

We sure did. For those that know I took that bass down there for him to play. It was really never for sale (again) but a couple people had expressed some interest. I think Jamie "had to have it" after the set. It just sounded some dayum good that night.

He ended up pulling out one of his Carvin B1500 amps (he had 2 that night ) from the rack for me to try. I've played a lot of stuff but that amp has to be one of the best lead sled's, no, one of the best amps I've ever played. I've slept on them for years but not anymore. Holy cow what a head.....only if you have the cabs to take the punishment though.

That sounds like a pretty friendly wife, in that case. :D

Once you own the B1500 you will never look back.....I had three at one point. It beat out my Aguilar db750, Mesa big block 750, and ampeg svt4pro....buy one....you won't regret it! It's my secret weapon!
