Thanks Joe!

The Way and Find Myself are my favorites of all of them, even though they aren't as interesting or diverse as the rest. They just rock hard and tight. I can listen to them over and over and not get tired... Fun to sing back up or co-lead on it too, esp Find Myself. We'd switch it up because my strained growly vocal does the chorus really good justice. The rest of the time my vocals are all smooth and upper range stuff (not like Mike Anthony high - I wish, but higher than that song in particular).

These were all redone with my Euro LX5 with Sadowsky steels, EMG 40DCs and a BQC preamp through a SansAmp BDDI into a Tascam US-100 into my MacBook Pro. originally they were done with a 1999 Warwick Streamer LX natural with 2 piece flame maple body and bolt-on all-wenge neck and fretboard. Active MEC pickups and a 2 band MEC preamp. Run through an EBS Multi-Comp. That's it.

Definitely looking forward to your opinion on the incoming bass... remember - start out flat on everything, volume dimed and completely roll off the EXB. It's a hot-ass signal coming from that set up. Start with the EXB, then adjust with the B & T controls to taste (a little goes along, long way).

Call it a self-esteem thing, whatever, but I like doing good things for people and not needing to be thanked for them. But as my friends have pointed out, it is just as important to accept gratitude and praise as it is to give it, so I'm trying. I promise. You'd think at 39 soon to be 40 I'd have worked that out by now, but I haven't.

So thanks everyone. I really do appreciate it and I'm grateful that everyone thought it was a good idea and came together to make it happen. We're a much stronger community for it, and that takes the efforts of many, not just one or a few. I'm really proud to be associated with such a talented and open-hearted group of fellow low-enders. I love my Spectors so much, but I also love the community that came along with them.

So here's to the Spector Club and Chris Loe in particular and his first Monday of many with his new white Ian Hill. I couldn't ask for better company than this.

Actually, no smadder dude. It's a Euro LX 5 w/ 40DCs and the EMG BQC (the Alex Webster setup). I did have the smadder in the Forte I just traded with j. kernodle for his 2007 white LX4 w/ US 9v pre in it & some cash. I'm taking it to my tech today to get it all cleaned, set up, fix a sticky tuner, etc. When the White Wimbish gets here I'm going to try them both and which ever one I like better stays and will keep the USA 9v. the other will get either the tone pump or the BQC and get sold along with my JAR, the incoming Euro LX5 (an Amazon bass), and possibly two more. I have the BQC in both Euro LXs (a 4 and a 5) both with black satin matte finishes. Wonderful basses. But I'm gonna put my white JAR up today. I'll post it in the club first.

In the end, I still want to get a USA bass of some kind - either a Forte 4 w/ the US 9v circuit or an NS-4. But we'll see how the bills and the money work out.
