Way sweet! And pretty unique looking, too. Good for you! :bassist:

Thanks man, my fave bass finishes are spector's water cured redwood burl and buckeye burl and maple burl is a close third, doesn't matter how many times I see flashy artificial finishes, nature comes out on top as the true artist :D

and I can't wait to get my hands on that sweet solid rosewood neck.. bet she sounds mighty dark because of it :bassist:

The single .150 Hybrid and .106 balanced set was 45.65. If you go to their Facebook page they will have coupons, just have to check every day. I ordered the .124 for D/C and .086 .065 .047 on the 4 string at the same time and got free shipping. The strings are 6 months old and still sounding great. So with free shipping and the coupon it was like 65.00. Just email Skip so that you get the right set for the tuning and you shouldn't be disappointed. If so I'll buy them from you if they are that size.

Cool, thanks for the info and how can I pass that up that offer? Let me just see how much money I have left when I pay for my daughter's competitive cheerleading, lol. They sent me an email saying I owe them a thousand dollars so once I picked myself off the floor, I had to work some magic. Luckily, no Spector's will need to be sold ;)

I do need strings really bad though so that is my next bit of magic to figure out. 3 sets of Spector nickels and a set of Circle K's will not be cheap.

You tried the .150 Jamie? How was the tension on those strings? I can't wait to try them but the set that I want is going to be close to $50 most likely so i am getting hesitant on buying them.

Cool, thanks man. Yeah, I saw them on that Lulu site but it said 3-5 days to ship so i was hoping there might be a place that was a bit quicker but I guess not. Can you tell I am impatient? :)

I've never played such a fat string and it was SMOOTH.....I liked those circle K strings John!

Good to hear, man. I'm more of a nickel guy, typically anyway. I also like that the B and E are tapered!

Are there any strings that you can compare them to?
To me, they feel very similar to Rotobass, the nickel on steel rounds made by Rotosound. IMO the Spector strings have a much stronger mid response and a little more tension. I think youre going to love them on your Coda.

Hey Joe, I'm digging the Spector nickels and your assessment is right on. Can I be your VP?

Hells yeah Lee:D lets go forth and spread the word!

What would you compare them to VP? :D

If I like them, I wanna be included in this sub club of the main club. :hiding:
Welcome in advance! One convert at a time:)

So far I'd say they are most like Slinky nickels but the Spector strings got something all their own. Very mid present which I like. Complement Spector's well...imagine that.

They really do. They really do it for me on the Forte4. We need to be the Limaguy of Spector strings:hyper:

I'd go for the Thunderfunk also, Jeff. I love Glockenklang, I REALLY do, but Thunderfunk makes the sweeter sounding (and more affordable) heads, IMO. Plus they always sound WAY louder than what they official rate at. And as it's been mentioned, having the builder right here in the US for warranty and/or upgrade work is pretty fantastic.

Yeah, I think I will either get a 750a or if Dave can upgrade the 550b I have...I regret selling my 750a and the NV610 was the best sounding setup I ever heard but I thought I needed a tweeter so I sold the cab (Mint Condition)immediately for $700 with cover. Now they are going for $1000 the lowest. And I sold the 750a for $1000, now It will cost me close to $1300 to get one again....but the 550b and NV425 I have now don't sound that bad for now..:bassist::bassist::bassist:

I bought my nv425 from this guy. I brought a Spector and my Thunderfunk to hear how they matched also I plugged into this SVT he had there. I preferred the Thunderfunk to the 76 SVT into the nv425 with the active Spector. But his passive Fender into the SVT was sweet. :bassist::bassist::bassist:

The guy that bought Christian's Rex 5 complaining about the transaction.

I won't comment on "HIS" thread but I think this dude waited to long....A few years back I bought a 74 Jazz from ebay and didn't get it inspected for 2 weeks, shame on me. I brought it to Nolls and found out the truss rod was no good. Instead of getting it fixed or fighting it (which I should) I reposted it on ebay listing the problem and lost $700 in the exchange. The seller had a 10 day return policy, my luck go figure....I think this guy just decided he didn't want the bass and made a phony claim. If you see something wrong contact immediately and DON"T get it fixed on your own....just my .2 cents. I feel bad for Christian. :atoz:

anytime someone airs laundry in public, it is so they can feel justified in what they did-right or wrong....so much for that dude being on here long......INTEGRITY is a lost art....

I have it, you have it, quite a few of us on this board in this club have it.....maybe we need to impress it on some others.....by force? Lol

Just a reminder...

This is on vehicle for delivery today:

Very excited to say the least. I never dreamed I'd own a USA Spector this soon!

Go to page one of this thread and start looking at everyones beautiful Spectors and you will understand the Spector Acquisition Syndrome.:help:

I'm definitely smelling what you are stepping in!! Honestly, this Euro Wimbish has blown my mind, I've played quite a few basses over my 7 year tenure of the beautiful 4 string string instrument. I don't see my self owning another brand! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about it and when I play it, I can't help but smile! SAS is serious! I'm feeling it too, I love the Forte's and US NS-2 (Ultra Amber :D) I'm curious to see if I can get a Forte with the Wimbish neck?? Being a Jazz bass player for so long, I love that neck profile.
