And while we're talking about hardware color, what do you guys think about gold hardware on a Webster? Would the gold and red clash?

I was never a gold fan till I started playing Spectors and has grown on me. Not sure about on a Webster though, Chrome would look nice.

I feel like we're all playing dress up with our dollies. :D

LOL

Just picked up my first Spector bass. Its a 2003 Euro 4...I finally get it...this is what I've been missing all these years!

Nice!!

Sorry for being a lurker. Want to make this official (finally)!

Black Cherry Euro 4 LX

Latest in a relatively long line of ReBops, Euro 4LXs, 5LXs and one of the coveted black custom NS2as.

Congrats on a great looking Euro-4! Welcome to our great club!

Is there any greater text to get from your wife at home than "You got some package from Stuart Spector Designs in NY" ?

I think it is the black bridge for Ian and/or the USA 9 volt for him:bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist:

Now the question, since my Kramer NS-2 Haz Preamp is at Hazlabs getting fixed for like another week or two (Someone broke the post off when he was taking it out  and now it needs a new pot on top of the battery mount), do I put the new USA 9 volt pre in the old Kramer and see how the old bass with the new preamp sounds? Um, yeah, I think I do...:bassist::ninja::bassist::ninja::bassist:

I've had a USA 9v on order for a month. The last I heard it's gonna be a couple of weeks before they get any in. I bet its just the bridge.

Shipping mishap!

Send ns2a to address in New Orleans, apparently either I forgot the suite number or it did not print. It did not get delivered and I have to figure something out. Buyer said he feels snakebit? What does that mean? Tried to contact as I did not get his phone number, he appeared to be online, yet did not respond. He also stated his company won't accept packages after 12 noon Friday? Suggestions?

Bottom line is I want anyone that buys an instrument to be happy with their purchase. I guess I wait until I hear from him. I want it to work out for both of us and hopefully will be able to smooth out this mishap.

I know it's a bummer when you don't get something on the day you expect it

The omission of a suite number shouldn't be that big of a deal. Just get a hold of the carrier and get the the correction and they'll try again. If he paid for shipping I might refund some shipping money as a good faith gesture, but after the bass is delivered.

This is legit. He pm'ed me back and has spoken to them and they will try to deliver again tomorrow to proper suite address. He never gave me company name so that didn't make it and ups says they need company name or suite address. Trying to rectify the mishap now! Thanks Andrew

USPS did something similar to a co-worker. Didn't have our business name and they somehow didn't deliver. Package ended up bouncing around in KC for three days before he finally got a contact at USPS who could correct the shipping label and bring it back up. This is why I ship FedEx Ground insured. I can't make a local contact without going to their physical offices. At least FedEx can get you someone on the phone. Sorry about the troubles, J!

I shipped ups because that was his suggestion and I have had a lot of people recently give me horror stories about FedEx. I usually ship FedEx with no trouble I just wanted to get the bass shipped. Future shipments will go back through FedEx

I always send a copy of the shipping label and ask if this is all correct. (I print my labels here at home)

Not discounting folks negative experiences with FedEx at all - all I can say is with about 20 basses to/from me via FedEx in the past couple years I've had no issues.
