And I was for a while, but last month I started feeling pretty bad off and on, then it was more on than off, then I got to rack up a sh!tload of medical expenses these past few weeks.

Smadder, all the best man. It is a damn shame that being unlucky enough to get sick often means an incredible financial burden. I'm convinced the only way the crappy politicians would actually fix it is to take away their sweetheart lifetime healthcare that the rest of us could not dream of. They'd ALL change their tune really quickly! Ever notice that not one of them ever proposes we can buy into their system?

Ok, I better shut up before I get in trouble. However, I had a major health scare a few years back. The health part is scary enough, but then you start worrying about the financial ramifications for you and your family. Just sucks.

I like the 810 only when it's laid on the ground......lol. On its side. The gk neo 412 will definitely sound different. I did the neo thing for a while then switched back to cast frame ceramic magnets. However I do have a Schroeder BMF 412 that is neo and will bite your head off. I need to pair it with my nv215 when I play.....

lol... I use to use the GK cabs with 10" neos... I haven't used the 12s yet. I like neos, but i also like the old school ceramic magnets.... 2X15s are still my favorite cab,

Just curious...why do you say that? I've always played med. flats with the B @.130-.135. I have been thinking about going with light flats on my next set. Just to see what a difference there is in tension and tonal.

+1 with your health Steve! I wasn't planning on retiring for 3-5 years yet but my body threw me a curve ball, my left shoulder's front cartilage torn out in shreds. Causing me not to meet minimum qualifications for my job. Life can be really cruel I know. All you can do is keep your head up and keep moving forward brother.
I'm contemplating on buying a Crate BE215, $149.99. :hmm:

If ya gotta go cheap, go with 15's, LOL. I prefer 15's period.......cheap or overpriced, or costly even! LOL

At this point, I sometimes wonder if I shouldn't just give up on trying to get out of the medical debt. Seriously. I could give them every penny every month for three years and I still wouldn't be out of debt. So now I'm thinking of just sending each debtor $15-$20 a month and just pay it all off between today and the heat death of the universe (slight exaggeration) or when I die, whichever comes first. No matter what, I'll never be completely out of debt (and even if I did, it would be very temporary before the medical bills started coming in again), so it may be time to start approaching it from a different perspective.

I haven't had a whole lot of access to my phone or ipad or computer, so I haven't been able to keep in touch. I don't even want to try catching up on the posts.

But I know I worried some folks, and I apologize for that. I know I probably missed out on a ton of stuff possibly even a Jeff rant (that's said with love, Jeff) or two (did anyone find him an XL2 yet?).

But I apologize to anyone who was trying to get in touch with me. I'll be playing phone and email catch up for a few days so I'll talk at some of you soon.

I had an age check yesterday though which bummed me out. I bought the new XCOM game for the Xbox 360. Now I was a huge fan of the original that came out in like 1994 so I asked the kid working there if it was kind of like the original and he told me he was barely even born at that time. Talk about feeling old :help:

Well got the Plum Wimbish coming as soon as Jaymi comes out of MIA, and ordered the Monique preamp from Jule Amps that I have been researching. Though the 400+ is not very hefty if I can go lighter and get the "sound" I'm all for it.

I've always been a pretty stocky but I have some back issues from time to time. I used to think I was he-man and loved heavy gear. Now it's all about doing the same with less.

As far as cabs, the 15's are always a good choice. I mostly play a Mesa PH412 but my Mesa 215 is great. I replaced the stock drivers with Faital Pro's and she really rocks now.

Wait. Plum Wimbish? You mean the one that Jaymi just got? Wow, I didn't know it was up for sale but I was MIA for a bit fighting this nasty cold.
