I'm just glad I was able to get that 435 with the 18v mod from bassgiant before it went wide. That thing is awesome and would not have lasted long.

I had an age check yesterday though which bummed me out. I bought the new XCOM game for the Xbox 360. Now I was a huge fan of the original that came out in like 1994 so I asked the kid working there if it was kind of like the original and he told me he was barely even born at that time. I've always been a pretty stocky but I have some back issues from time to time. I used to think I was he-man and loved heavy gear. Now it's all about doing the same with less.

As far as cabs, the 15's are always a good choice. I mostly play a Mesa PH412 but my Mesa 215 is great. I replaced the stock drivers with Faital Pro's and she really rocks now.

The only thing that concerns me with 215's is weight. That's the reason I was opting for the 210's. :hmm:

Getting used to the 34 inch scale again is a little tough. My 404 and 5 strings are all 35. The NS2 neck is really nice though and I'm sure the the Wimb is gonna be nicer. I have gotten acustom to the close spacing of the 5's and now prefer it.
A 435 would be awesome.

If you play fretless it's like throwing a ball with your other hand and that's why I'm selling the only 34" scale I have now.
This bass is a SBMM Ray35 it sounds good but after I play it for a day or two and pick up my go to fretless and it a little weird for a while. (Hair lipped):confused:

That is why I sold my Clement fretless. I loved the bass but it was a 34" scale and all of my other basses are 35" scale. I totally messed up my intonation after trying to play it so my next fretless will have to be 35" scale.

At this point, I sometimes wonder if I shouldn't just give up on trying to get out of the medical debt. Seriously. I could give them every penny every month for three years and I still wouldn't be out of debt. So now I'm thinking of just sending each debtor $15-$20 a month and just pay it all off between today and the heat death of the universe (slight exaggeration) or when I die, whichever comes first. No matter what, I'll never be completely out of debt (and even if I did, it would be very temporary before the medical bills started coming in again), so it may be time to start approaching it from a different perspective.

I haven't had a whole lot of access to my phone or ipad or computer, so I haven't been able to keep in touch. I don't even want to try catching up on the posts.

But I know I worried some folks, and I apologize for that. I know I probably missed out on a ton of stuff possibly even a Jeff rant (that's said with love, Jeff) or two (did anyone find him an XL2 yet?).

But I apologize to anyone who was trying to get in touch with me. I'll be playing phone and email catch up for a few days so I'll talk at some of you soon.

Hi all,

I'm curious to know if any of you have received a special order before the 4 month wait with any of your Spectors that were ordered?
Since placing my Euro order with GuitarHouse last week it seems like time has stopped and these 4 months are going to go by really slow till I have that baby in my hands. :atoz:

I only have a Squier to play in the meantime after selling off my other Basses to get my Spector...lol..I will tough it out I guess :D
What finish are you having done on your Forte?

Some of you may remember the issue I had with the M4 Xtender that I posted about in the last thread.

Although we somewhat agreed to disagree on the dangers of extending the tuning post (to match the length of the other tuners), I want to give big ups to Bill Woolery at Hipshot for fantastic customer service!

Even thought they really don't offer this service anymore, he had me send in my Xtender, did a one day turnaround extending the post the needed length to match the others, and I had it back in only a little over a week. All at no charge.

Once again, big ups to Bill Woolery and Hipshot. :bassist:
