I love the natural look too, my Wick is an antique tobacco stained piece of wood.
I'd kinda prefer it to be a bit darker though. But what the hey, I can have one lighter colored bass at least

Ok, so finally I can join the famous Spector club.
Got a ReBop 5 today. And I am extremely impressed!
Love it love it love it!
As primarily a Warwick man, I am absolutely blown away by the comfort, speed and lack of buzz/dead spots on this bass. I just. I have no words. It's up there with my favorite Wick.
Can't wait to get more of these!

I dunno man, it came like that but I did wonder myself.. Is it normal on Spectors or is this something custom?

It's the input jack. A strap pin there would unbalance the whole thing. Oh yeah, that's another thing I like about this bass. The pin is in a different place than my Wick (and guitars) and puts the fretboard in a much more comfortable position while standing. 
I've always liked that about Spectors as well.
I figured it was the input jack, just couldn't really see it.

it looks like the jack for an acoustic guitar that doubles as a strap pin..... perhaps the previous owner was a lefty? or they needed to replace the jack and that was the only one they had for an active bass

Wax and some light shoe polish could be your friend on that body if you want it darker......LOL

I might try the shoe polish idea. And I'll try to replace the jack then. I have no need for a strapJack. But not right now, just going to enjoy playing it
Wax and some light shoe polish could be your friend on that body if you want it darker......LOL

Just make sure it is the barrel type of input jack since that is what Spector uses.
While it's not available online (yet) from the Spector website, I'm sure if you contact them, they would be able to help you out in getting a replacement jack. Of course, the current jack isn't an issue at all.....but maybe down the road if you ever think about replacing it. I've replaced mine before and it's not too difficult at all, if you can get your hands on a soldering iron.
