i just wish i had the cash to buy or do some upgrading. even a euro would be nice, but. hard to do when money is tight. someday i suppose. i still love my spectors. id like to get rid of the legend and get a euro eventually to start with.

and I love Portuguese Women...oooh wait we are talking about basses....Yes Spector and John Travolta!!!...wouldn't want it any other way. :bassist::bassist::bassist:

These are a real treat to play and I finally get it! :D

Is that Big Earl??

Todd. I think you didn't see all of the listing. Check it again.

Obviously for the $10K you get the NS-2, this little girl and a violin, which is appears she can play. So that's a bonus, especially when you want to have a nice dinner. Just bring her out of the box you keep her in and she'll add the ambiance...

Wow, I totally missed the bonus package with the bass. I wonder if I were to sell her off, what that would bring the price of the bass down to? Maybe $8000?

nah, i wont, im just jealous is all. Id have to sell all my basses to get the dream bass and thats not gonna happen, ive got deep attachments to a few of them. I'll just keep drooling over all your guys beauts! Dont get me wrong mine a not slackers by any means, just dont have that dream bass, more like dream finish, got two actually, bahama blue quilt Birdeye maple board, or a dark blue matte flame maple build. I was so tempted by Jaymies Blue Kramer when he sold it, I just couldnt manage it. The Bahama Blue on bass centrals site makes me die a little everytime I see it.

Dude, that Bahama Blue w/ BEM board is my dream bass, too. I know exactly what you are saying, but I'm learning to be content with what I have. We have some pretty damn nice Spectors, too! :bassist:

thats why i dont say anything anymore, until now. i just feel irrelevant and ignored :(

Amos, I know how the job thing can suck the life out of your playing bass. I've been there multiple times myself. Weeks would go by and all I would have time to do is pick up the bass and blow the dust off of it. But everything goes in cycles and you'll be back to playing heavy s*#t before you know it. Hang in there and don't feel irrelevant.

I was in the treatment room this morning finishing up this round of chemo, I look up at the TV and what do I see for the beginning part where they are bidding on the prices of items? A Spector Euro 5 string! With some books and lesson...

2nd to last guess was 1400, I was like 1401!!! the next lady did it, and won.

I think they said total retail value was 2,600 or something, just weird to look up and see a Spector in a model's hands on The Price is Right.

That would have been really weird - in a very cool way!!!

Here is the problem I have with this. Ok yes, the price is just insane and there is no way. But in the auction, they state it's for their 14 year old daughter and looking at that picture, there is no way that kid is 14. Am I crazy? Who am I kidding....I am critiquing an auction where someone is trying to get an astronomical amount of money.
