sorry guys, but i get on here with nothing new to say. the move has been good, but i no longer have a band to play in and hardly have time to play now. i work the weekend so my playing time is non existant. and plus i have envy.

Dude, read some of my posts man, I never have anything new or exciting to say LOL....

It's good to have you on here, and I a have giged 2 nights this year with all the crap going down. The second night we played to my wife and 1 other woman, it was Saturday in the summer in Minnesota EVERYONE is at the lakes. I keep telling the guys I play with in the summer "I can't die, the last night I played can't be to 2 frickin people!"

and brother, we all have envy....I bet Todd with one of the world's greatest Spector collections has envy for some things...I don't think it ever ends.:help:

That's funny!!! I tried to get you to come and hang with me and Dave Fowler. You are just way too busy.....

I totally understand, just had to give you a little ribbing.:D

If I had to guess, I would say aluminum. I have an NS-JH5 and the bass is light so that leads me more to believe it's not brass.

Here is what it says on the Spector site:

Black aluminum hardware including Gotoh GB7E tuners and the Hipshot Type A bridge.

I think that is a mis-print though since mine has a Type B bridge and the newer bolt-ons come with the type A bridge.

Edit: Here is a picture of the bridge that is on my NS-JH5 so maybe it will help.

i emailed spector, and they said on my NS-JH6, which has the same bridge as your bass pictured, they used brass saddles and aluminum bridge piece.
by the way, is that the EMG BQC preamp you have? and EMG DC pups? what was your stock preamp, tonepump or obp-1?

Oh cool, good to know. Yes, that is a BQC that I installed since I was not a fan of the OBP-1 that came stock in the bass. That is an EMG TW pickup though which was stock and I left it in so I could have the ability to have j/j pickups. All of my other Spector's have DC's in them since they are my favorite pickups but I wanted this bass to be a bit different.

so how do you like the BQC? particularly in dual coil mode on the TW? does it allow you to have warm bottem end? does your bass have the weights in your control cavity? did you have any trouble getting the BQC to fit the cavity?

WAAAAYYYY overpriced!!!!!!!!!!

Todd. I think you didn't see all of the listing. Check it again.

Obviously for the $10K you get the NS-2, this little girl and a violin, which is appears she can play. So that's a bonus, especially when you want to have a nice dinner. Just bring her out of the box you keep her in and she'll add the ambiance...

Thanks for the comments the past few pages.

Just one question though, what tuners were shipped with the '02 - '04 ReBops? They don't have anything stamped and feel kinda plastic-y (it's a word now!) I'll see how they are when I take the strings off and if they're loose I'll tighten them, wait til the next strings change and if they're loose again I'll most likely replace them with some Gotohs.

The control knobs are plastic and (don't meant to offend anyone) feel awful. I'm ordering some replacements right this second.

Love this Spector. I feel special to own one considering there is no distributor (not active anyway) in Scandinavia! :D

Don't know who makes the tuners but they are holding up, you will notice that most everyone uses the stock knobs, they are kind of a Spector thing and they are light weight.
