i havent seen a trim pot on my tone pump. i think mine was before they added the trim. i like the bqc idea because i can cut treble if i'd like to. and also the addition of mid control. i may not swap preamps, and just quit obessessing over underdiscovered sounds. cause i like the sound of the tone pump. i just want the cut functions really.

Thanks for posting. I really dig the new Kill Devil Hill album, and this coming from someone who wasn't a huge Pantera or Down fan necessarily. They were both bands I had a lot of respect for, but just weren't my cup of tea. Kill Devil Hill has more of a Sabbath meets Alice in Chains vibe (at least I guess that is how I'd describe it).

That mahogony neck Spector w alder wings sounds interesting!i still think the key to the tone of my NS4 that I love is the walnut/buckeye wings. I played an all maple one and didn't think it had quite the punch that the walnut gives. Just a guess though!

Everything about that album is just great. From Rex's tone to the production, it is all just top notch. I am glad he mentions who produced it in the interview (Warren Riker) since that dude really did a great job. Even the drum sound Vinny Appice has just floored me when I heard the CD for the first time so I can't say enough about these guys and the CD they released. I just hope they keep going since they really have something good going on.

Much better than the new Down album. I have been waiting for Down to do something different but every album sounds the same. I was disappointed.

You know, I haven't even bought the new Down album. I heard Witchtripper which isn't a bad song but then I heard Misfortune Teller and I wasn't really a fan so I haven't been going nuts to buy it. I guess I am spoiled with NOLA and the second one.

I whole heartily agree. Great album, great live show and great tone all around.... I hope they do great things.

on a side note... my band's album is being mastered right now... we just got the album art back and it looks great! Maybe we can jump on a tour leg with KDH when it is released... that would be sooo awesome.

On mine i boost the bass and cut the volume of the pickups to "fake " the treble cut

As Sam said, I think white is the most popular. But I like black the best. My red looks cool too.

I just want to state this fact. The Spector pimp might be kind of quiet lately on this board but he is working in full effect right now :D The magic he is trying to work with me right now is just purely insane but it's actually getting me to think, LOL.

I know I am kind of talking in code right now but I just wanted to let everyone know that the Spector pimp has not diminished in his role one bit :)
