The first track is the legend 5 into my MXR DI (with everything flat) to garageband with compression and an amp simulator. the one playing chords later on is the same but with a lot more software effects (phaser, automatic filter, and tremolo). let me know what you think!

Dude, I've been there. Gotta just plow through that stuff and know that it'll make a good story later. Also one of the main reasons I do a shot of whiskey before the first set. Old habits are hard to break.

True. Lots of killer Spectors on TB now.

Luckily I am having problems putting my Forte 5 down...... I don't NEED a second Spector right now. Wonder how long this will last?

Euro 5ers seem too well built and too well priced to avoid owning forever though. Aaaggghhhh!

So much that I don't even want to talk about it. I am turning into the type of gear fanboy I generally hate!

Seriously, it is killer. I am using Mnique with a cheap Crest ProLite 2.0 power amp ($350 new) and Berg AE210 cabs. Switching between the Forte 5er and my MTD 535. No effects. First time I have been amp/cab GAS free in years.

Cool, mine arrives Wed with the +4db on the outputs. I will use the Crown XTI2000 into the 4 ohm Mesa412. Looking forward to hearing the Kramer NS2 the new Wimbish, and the Rebop 5 thru it.

I thought all broad necks were stage two, could you get that option one a stage one?

After listening to the soundclips posted by Sam, and watching Jaymi's video - AND - playing the Rebop MM (the MmBop?) - I have a short report to make. The Rebop MM is top notch. Maple board is gorgeous, black inlays just scream 'classy'. The matte finish is absolutely better looking in person. It handles like my other Rebops. It's tough to say whether the maple make a distinctive difference - there were many amps and basses getting played - but in the few quiet moments, I toggled the coil tap knob, played around with the TonePump settings - and just got a nice MusicMan-esque sound - not as aggressive as a Ray or Sterling - but very close in flavor. I played up by the neck and down by the bridge, and with the coil tap (no single coil hum by the way) there are many tonal options. As PJ said, it's a 'different flavor Rebop'. Absolutely. I think PJ and Spector hit a homerun with this version - I'm a bolt-on guy, and really love the fully carved bodies - now I just have to decide whether to get a 4 or 5 string. Trying to thin the herd is a tough deal right now. Two basses had potential buyers locally, but they fell through. I'm still keeping an eye on Gabriel51's Zebop. I used to have that bass, but the way things are going - it's tough to get the funds. Argh!
